I had been looking for a place that serves foie gras for a long time, and I was really happy to finallyyy find it here. Even though it was frozen, it was still satisfying and enjoyable. The bun dish was very delicious, and the overall food quality was great.
The service was excellent — the staff were very friendly and attentive. At the end of the meal they even gave us a dessert, which was a very nice touch. Overall a great experience and I would definitely come back

We were in the Sugar Land area and thought we’d give this place a try. I’m so glad we did! I tried the Josh roll and was very pleased with how unique the combination was. Most sushi rolls tend to have similar flavor profile but this one had a nice twist with unusual combinations. I also tried the Unagi Bao. I was not as pleased with that. The spring mix lettuce was soggy, stringy and unpleasant. The salmon belly sashimi was nice. My son enjoyed his sushi roll and miso soup, which is a compliment, since he used to live in Japan. We really enjoyed the sesame balls for dessert! One thing that stood out .. The music was way too loud when we came in and we asked if they would turn it down, which they kindly did. The service was great and they even surprised us with a complimentary cake slice! Overall great experience and I really look forward to trying more things that looked good the next time we’re in the area!

We chose this place based on the strong reviews. The interior has a nice, modern lounge-style atmosphere, and the service was friendly, though the staff were not very knowledgeable about the menu or the ingredients.
The nigiri was decent. However, the spicy salmon had a strange metallic aftertaste, and we ended up leaving the last piece on the plate.
The hichiban chicken was disappointing. The portion was very small, and while it was spread thinly across the plate to make it look more substantial, the dish itself lacked flavor and felt uninspired.
Overall, the place looks good and the service is pleasant, but the food quality and execution did not quite live up to the expectations set by the reviews.

Outstanding. Wanted to try something different without driving way to the heights. So why not give AKI a shot. I ordered several items to give the restaurant a chance. I loved it. Very tasty. Nice presentation. I’ll be back to try more items. The king crab bite wasn’t my favorite but it was worth a shot.

Been here several times now. The Tonkotsu ramen my wife and I both love, and the sushi we have tried so far has been extremely fresh tasting and high quality.
I’ve also tried the hibachi steak and chicken and the sesame chicken. Those options were solid as well. So far we haven’t went wrong here.

Highly recommended for Japanese food. Everything here tatses so fresh, and it’s original sweetness. I dont feel so much add up to the flavor like other places. Authentic, friendly staffs and reasonable prices

An absolutely amazing Sushi experience with many original and hard to find delicacies. FRESH is an understatement.
However… it may have been the late hour but the service was lacking at the very best. Repeatedly had to ask for food items they forgot. Ate my salad and soup last.
But the Uni made up for it all.

The beef tongue was tough and chewy. The ramen broth was good, but everything else about the ramen was bad; the meat was tough and chewy, the eggs tasted like they’d been pulled straight from a freezer without being reheated, bamboo shoots tasted like they’d been stored soaked in fish sauce. While it was somewhat busy, it wasn’t THAT busy, so the fact that we were mostly ignored with waitresses rarely coming to check on us was kinda bad. The manager was great, I feel bad that she had to come over to us.
The sad thing is, as bad as this place is, it’s still the best eatery in this mall complex. I still can’t recommend it.

We had a positive experience at this Aki location! Food was fresh and the kids loved the ramen. Nothing to complain about and we love that it’s close by.
