This restaurant serves delicious Sushi. The fish tasted fresh and the service was good.
The service might be a bit slow before dinner but I’ll be worth it.

This place was fantastic. The service was 100%. The restaurant ambiance was five star. I really liked this restaurant, but I didn’t think that cost was accurate for the taste. I thought the food was good but everything else was incredible. I love how they do their sake set up too!

Mainly had sashimi and sushi – excellent quality and beautifully made. They were also incredibly accommodating to us and smoked some salmon for those who couldn’t eat raw fish! 11/10 would go again.

Excellent. I’ve been here several times since 2022 and this was the best. The okonomiyaki is crunchy and amazing. The salmon plate is always great. Salmon is super high quality. The tempura is light and delicious. The only thing I would change is slightly brighter lighting.

Randomly picked this place for lunch and my group was so pleased! We ordered miso soup, salmon sashimi, lion king roll, and asemi rolls. They were all delicious, especially the lion king roll. Service was excellent and the ambience was lovely. We will remember this place the next time we are in Berkeley, for sure.

Had a mixed experience here. The sweet shrimp quality is excellent. The okinawayaki is excessively oily and salty, exacerbated by the sauce. The black cod is alright, but the overdose of okinawayaki makes it a bit overwhelming. The karaage is good, but the overall discomfort caused by the excessive oil and salt, particularly in the okinawayaki, impacts the overall experience.

Akemi had an enjoyable ambiance with a wood and stone feeling to the place. The lighting definitely sets the mood. The garlic edamame was phenomenal! A must get. We also very much enjoyed the Hawaii role.

It is a fulfilling experience. The combination dinner is of good size. The Waygu beef is soft. The salmon is good. Shirashi is delightful. Tampura is yummy. Overall I like this place. My family wants to come back again. I am impressed with the Japanese maple trees that they have outdoor. Those are not cheap.

As a rule, I like to order a selection of nigiri but I found the selection quite limited.
Tai was very tough so I mentioned it to the server. The sushi chef presented a complimentary chu toro by way of an apology. That was very kind of him.
Spicy tuna seems to just be tuna mixed with sriracha so was disappointing. Unagi was overly sweet and a little dry. Shrimp tempura inside a roll that I ordered was chewy and overcooked.
I think I am obviously very spoiled after years of going to Sugata at the bottom of Solano and before that, Sushi Banzai on Camelia in Berkeley, as I know a lot of reviewers love this place. Sadly, I shall not be returning.
