Everything we ordered tasted fresh and well prepared. The shrimp tempura was one of the best I’ve had, and we tried several different rolls — all were great. The martini sushi was a standout and absolutely excellent.
No complaints whatsoever. One of the best places to eat and a true hidden gem.
My wife ordered a steak medium-well, and after a long wait (long after everyone else at the table was almost done eating), it finally came out. She cut into it and it was medium-rare. We sent it back to have the chef cook it more, and when it returned, it was basically a piece of leather. Completely overcooked, beyond well-done, and totally inedible.
At that point, we spent too much time there and just wanted to leave. We asked for the bill and noticed the steak was still on it. We asked why it was still there and the response from management was insulting. They actually refused to take it off because they “felt they accommodated us” by trying to cook it a second time. Their big solution? A $3.80 discount. Are you kidding me?
To make matters worse, I went to see the manager who literally hid from me at first. When she came out of hiding, she had zero remorse. She actually had the nerve to tell me that if I wanted a better experience, I “should have gone to a steak house.” This is coming from a restaurant that literally has the word “STEAK” on their front sign.
It’s completely unfair to the servers when management makes calls like this. They’re basically forcing the customers to decide whether or not to leave a tip based on the kitchen’s mistakes. Plus, a staff member was actually recording me while I was complaining. I saw another patron complaining about a similar experience just 15 minutes before us, so clearly there’s a pattern of bad service and even worse management here and it’s obvious that they intend to do nothing about it.
Save your money and go somewhere that actually knows how to cook a steak and treat their customers with a shred of respect. We are never coming back.
Really needs a renovated bathroom though!!! Just do it please it is an important part of the restaurant.
Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Orlando — we can’t wait to return!
Every dish taste delicius. All fresh.
100/100.
We definetly will come back.
We made a reservation for 6:45pm on a Monday evening. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to see a busy restaurant with most tables filled and a nice vibe. Our table wasn’t ready and we waiting patiently for our table to be prepared. After approximately 15 minutes, we were seated and were informed that our server was quite busy and would greet us shortly. After another 15 minutes, she came over and took our drink orders. We asked for ice water and a couple of cokes and received our drinks less one coke about 10 minutes later. The 2nd coke came after another 10 minutes.
The restaurant was busy, but not that busy.
After we all got our drinks, we insisted on ordering our food as we were worried that we wouldn’t see our server for another 10 to 20 minutes at this point.
My son and I ordered a Tropical Storm Boat (sushi, sashimi, and rolls) combo to share (attached photo). I will not review the dishes that other party members ordered. While we waited patiently for our food to arrive, I was imagining that the chef was putting together an incredible presentation of delicious and fresh sushi and sashimi. After 45 minutes, our boat arrived and utter disappointment followed.
The fish was not fresh. The sashimi pieces were small (1/2 the length of my pinky finger), and the rolls were clearly pre-made and refrigerated as the rice was hard. The food lacked any flavor and had a dry (stale) texture.
My son and I managed to finish the food as we were starved, but as I sit here writing this review in the restaurant waiting patiently for my server to bring my check, I am now worried about getting sick from the food.
The only saving grace was the waitress recognizing the poor experience we were having and offering us a free dessert. So, I feel generous with the 3 stars for her effort.
If you consider yourself to have high standards for sushi, do not come here. You’ll find better quality sushi at your local grocery store.
Save yourself a horrible experience and an overpriced meal.
Before we got picked up our food, we even discussed coming back to eat a full dinner due to the high number of reviews but I will not be coming back. There are so many places in orlando to get good quality rolls for the same price or less (for $10 more, I could have gotten all you can eat sushi not too far away).
