Food was immaculate and servers were very kind. Despite it being 730 pm and what I would imagine to be a very busy time, we were able to get our food promptly. That all said, the main thing prompting me in posting this review is having seen a full grown man snap at a waitress over a bowl of soup, (an issue which she quickly offered to resolve) followed by about 15 minutes of complaining.
My guy, if you decided to post a bad review over a bowl of soup at rush hour at a restaurant, shame on you. This place is great.

First time and I was in awe! The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing, very friendly and attentive staff. The restaurant is a little small, but I love how they utilized the space. The food was very good 8/10 for me. From the apps to the entree, everything was delicious. It was my first time trying sushi and I was not disappointed. I will definitely be back here again. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to try a creative, new spin on Japanese cuisines. The food was served very hot, and the service was very quick.

First time trying Akari. Really enjoyed the food. We ordered several appetizers which were shared so everyone could sample the food. Highly would recommend going there.

Fantastic service! I was stuck on the Amtrak platform for four hours. I called the pub next door and they wouldn’t walk me over food. But Akari played ball and was so gracious to meet me at the platform (I couldn’t leave as our train was going to leave any minute, allegedly.)
Thank you so much to the Akari team! The sushi and the fried shrimp appetizer were solid!

Prompt service and great sushi in a charming little spot by the train station. Gyoza and scallion pancakes were excellent, and along with 3 simple sushi rolls and some hot sake my husband and I ate a quick and satisfying dinner for just over $50. Will definitely be back and can’t wait to try more items on their extensive menu.

Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. The teriyaki was amazing, too; and a big portion! Bring an appetite. My only complaint about the place was some of the flowers were withering, but the fact that there were roses and they were REAL, shows a commitment to the guests that they spend money to provide an enjoyable experience. I will ABSOLUTELY be back to try some other items from the menu.

The best sushi in the Hudson valley by far. The service is spectacular as the servers go out of their way to accommodate you.

Standard sushi place with quick and attentive service. Sushi is good – not too much rice. I took one star off because the bathroom wasn’t so great and some of the dinnerware was chipped.
