I cannot recommend this sushi bar enough—it is, quite simply, the best sushi experience I have had in a long time. They deserve every one of these five stars!
From the moment we walked in, the experience was perfect. I found the atmosphere comfortable and relaxing, making it the ideal spot for a date night or a casual dinner. I even stop in for a quick roll togo when I am out running errands.
The food itself is consistently fantastic and incredibly fresh. Every piece of sashimi and every roll practically melts in your mouth, tasting like it was just caught. The quality here is truly top-tier.
Adding to the wonderful food, the staff provides impeccable service. They are attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely care about your dining experience.
To top it all off, the prices are wonderful for the high caliber of food and service you receive. If you are looking for fresh, delicious sushi served in a great setting with amazing service and great prices, look no further! This is my new favorite spot.

We’ve been to Akaihi several times over the years and always enjoyed it. This was our first visit since the original owner retired, and while a few menu items have changed, the food was still delicious and the atmosphere just as fun. The hibachi chefs keep things lively, and the sushi is fresh and well-prepared. Overall, it’s still one of our favorite spots for a great Japanese meal and a fun dining experience.

We had a wonderful time for a 14 year old’s birthday celebration.
The atmosphere was exactly what you’d envision, the staff were cordial and professional, our chef was FANTASTIC, and our waiter was a gem.
The Lychee martini was great!
We had the surf and turf, with chicken and it was cooked very well. I would have gone 5 stars, but it was a salt heavy.
Overall, it was fantastic, and a priceless family memory!

I found this place on a whim and went with my mom, and we loved it! The food was filling and tasty, and our server, Mai, was so sweet and we couldn’t stop drinking the green tea! My mom got the Tuna Tower and I had the chicken teriyaki from the all you can eat menu with a side of white rice. We’re definitely coming back!

The haiku roll was sad. Go to H.E.B. for sushi instead if you want to pay for a small roll. Atleast it will taste fresh. The agedashi tofu was spongy and not crispy, disappointed. The restaurant also smells like sewage inside, should have been a sign.

Stopped in for a date night with my wife and enjoyed a nice dinner. We chose to sit in the regular dining area and not have the hibachi show.
We ordered the crab puff – absolutely delicious! Definitely will get that again. It was crunchy with a great crab cream cheese center.
My wife had the hibachi chicken with friend rice and I had the hibachi shrimp with fried rice. All of it was great and the portions were generous!
Prices were fair, and we even stopped during happy hour 3-7, some prices were discounted a little bit. Service was prompt and friendly
