Nice quaint location with a decent experience in the area. Each meal is served with a pot of hot tea which was a nice touch. The food is good and lots of value for the price as well. I don’t have anything overly negative to say about this place. The staff is friendly but comes off as shy. This shy behavior may come off as rude to some guests. The food is prepared quickly and I never had to wait for anything so their service was good overall.

I love coming here for their bento dinner with a pot of hot tea. It’s the best bento box! They serve quickly and the food is delicious, fresh, and tasty.

Marco made my experience feel like home. This little Japanese spot is a nice getaway from the madness of the bay. The parking can get a little tricky but it’s totally worth it. Inside is a small but cute dinning area. Their prices are more than fair for the quality and quantity of food you get. My order came out in like 10 minutes which is decently quick for what I ordered. I had the chicken teriyaki and two sushi rolls..highly suggest the lion king roll! The food came out fresh and hot off the grill. Overall this place surprised me and it’s worth checking out while catching a break from the traffic.

It’s one of my favorite spots in the bay. I like how they have a picture of their waiter, Rolando Marhena, who has passed away

I’ve been going here my whole life! Sure it’s not the ambiance of the Mark Hopkins but it is very San Bruno. Nice service, amazing plates such as the chicken or beef teriyaki! The tempura is pretty perfect! I love even the salad and soup on the side. The Salmon Teriyaki is also a go-to for me! Rolando, God Bless his soul but he always gave our family phenomenal service and his nephew is now a server there. A long standing quality Japanese restaurant in the neighborhood.

My family (half Japanese) comes here all the time for decades, because it is always tasty, fresh, and has good value bento meals. I usually get the sushi plate which is supposed to be chef’s choice but I try to ask for specific pieces and they usually are able to accommodate.

I ordered the Deluxe Bento … There 2 things I didn’t care for, but doesn’t mean that it wasn’t good . It wasn’t for tasting pallet. Everything else was super delicious . Great atmosphere, tables greatly spaced apart, and great service! I definitely want to go back!

We had to constantly ask waitress for stuff – we had no water (apparently they only offer $1 bottled water), cutlery (we were given plastic cutlery!), napkins (we got 2 for table of 4 people). Food came out different times per person and half of it was cold. Salad was drenched in watered down ranch dressing instead of ginger dressing. Food was bland. Wouldn’t have come here if I had known all these facts ahead of time. Also limited parking available.

Went there for lunch on Saturday around noon. Not busy, and no wait. Staff greeted and sat us promptly. Chose this restaurant because it was a mainstay during my high school days and into early adulthood. Surprisingly, it’s still here! That is a testament to the quality of food, the atmosphere, and the great value.

First time here. No frills, just great food and beautiful presentation. Busy on a Friday, but still great service. Just moved from Mountain View and looking for a local sushi place. With the quality and price, I think we found it!
