We had an absolutely fantastic dinner at Ajwa BBQ and Restaurant in Hummelstown. Everything we ordered was bursting with authentic Pakistani flavors and perfectly cooked.
The fish fry was crispy on the outside and flaky inside…..lightly spiced and delicious. The goat chops were tender, juicy, and grilled to perfection with just the right amount of smokiness and seasoning. Chicken Karahi was rich, aromatic, and full of bold spices. We paired it all with fresh, warm naan and kulcha that were soft and buttery. The chicken cheese kebab was a highlight…..creamy cheese melted into the flavorful chicken, making every bite irresistible.
The portions were generous, and the quality was top-notch. What really made the experience special was the friendly management…..they were welcoming, attentive, and even surprised us with complimentary gulab jamun for dessert. Those sweet, syrupy treats were the perfect ending to a great meal.
If you’re craving delicious halal Pakistani BBQ and curries in the Hummelstown area, Ajwa is a must-visit. Highly recommend.

One word: BIRYANI! the best in the area ! The tikka masala was so good as well. We loved it so much we ordered out the next day for more. It’s THAT good !

I didn’t even know this place existed, but it will definitely be one of my new go-to’s! The service was amazing and food was delicious. I had never tried Pakistani desserts and had no clue what to pick after my meal. The hostess was very helpful and described each one before we picked out some. The portions were HUGE and I ended up with leftovers for 2 days!

Stopped as we passed thru town. Located in a strip mall, the sign beckoned as we were heading to the local diner. Very glad we changed our minds!!
Service was spot on, food delivered quickly. Our host even entertained our questions about the cuisine. While 45 minutes away, well make the drive as it was delicious and authentic.

Completely empty when I came in, which is surprising to me, considering how much I enjoyed the food! Not sure if it’s ever busier, seeing as no one came in the whole time. I highly recommend the goat cheese and green chilies naan to fellow spice lovers. The creamy goat cheese balances out the hot chilies nicely. The Bollywood biryani looked beautiful and definitely delivered on flavor. It was not spicy. Everything came out very quickly and I was served by the manager Dinesh, who was very attentive. Definitely coming back, especially if I’ll continue to have the place to myself

This is a nice little restaurant in the plaza in Hummelstown by Aroogas. The decor is very cozy and welcoming and the staff are very nice people.
My food was top notch! I had an appetizer and an entrée and everything was delicious! My appetizer was chicken samosas and they were so good. The flavor was outstanding. They had just the right amount of spices to give them a little heat but not be overpowering. I want more already. My entrée was chicken tikka with rice and salad and the chicken was cooked to perfection! It was some of the best tasting chicken I’ve had in a long time. I cant wait to go back and try their other dishes.
If you live in, or are visiting, the Hummelstown area you owe it to yourself to try this place. You won’t be disappointed. Skip Aroogas and the food you can get there from any of the hundreds of similar restaurants in this area and try Ajwa. You’ll be glad you did. I’ll be back again and again.

I must say.. I am more than happy and satisfied with the quality of the food of this place.
Every single item we ordered was so well seasoned & cooked; even my picky eater kids couldn’t resist. Food served well within time.
Once me and my wife called upon the chef to praise his art; find out he is the owner too..
Overall… Highly recommended place if you are a Halal BBQ lover.

We found this place on Google maps, and didn’t know what to expect, but the food was fantastic. Friendly owners/staff, and the food was fantastic. Both chicken dishes were obviously made to order and super tender and flavorful. The garlic naan was also very good with a nice grill crisp to it.
