To love since 1984 in Destin. Featuring oysters raw, baked,& fried,as well as fresh local seafood,steaks, pastas, sandwiches, and kids meals. AJ’s Oyster Shanty offers indoor and outside dining to meet all your needs. You will find live music on the outdoor stage seven nights a week in the summer. AJ’s Oyster Shanty wants to be the place to bring your family & friends, and you will find that we will be there greeting you with the AJ’s Hospitality.

Stopped for an early lunch and was the only person there at the time. Everyone seemed to be running around and focused on prepping for the day, but everyone was very friendly. The food was good. My server mentioned that they do have times of the day with food and drink specials. If I’m ever in the area again, I’d definitely check ahead and see what and when those were on offer.

Atmosphere was great. We were waited on by Bryce. Awesome is all I can say. We couldn’t have had a better server. Bryce was attentive and fantastic from the start. Everything we got was terrific. Do yourself a favor and eat here. Ask for Bryce too if he’s available!

We came to this establishment because we had a friend to tell us it was amazing. We visited, we tried, we conquered! Everything was amazing. I would recommend the burgers and the hush puppies!!! Will definitely come again to try the shrimp and grits!!! My son had them and they were to die for! Our waiter was patient, kind, and accommodating! Will definitely visit again!

Very cool bar with lots of locals. The food is awesome and if I had to put a warning out there, do not over order because the portions are huge, especially the appetizers. I highly recommend the wagu sliders. They were awesome. The service is very friendly and efficient and the drinks are awesome. Highly recommended spot in Fort Walton Beach. The entertainment on 30 August was especially good.

Everything was delicious!! The firecracker shrimp tasted great but has way too much breading on tiny shrimp. A little disappointing. Service was outstanding. Kimberly is a sweetheart!!

The restaurant is across the street from the Gulf and is nicer on to the outside, the inside is your typical beach shack decor. We were seated quickly but after that the service was kind of slow. The food was good, just overpriced compared to the other beach restaurants in the area. I had the shrimp and grits and they were good would order them again.

I highly recommend going here for some great food. The portions are humongous so if you go away hungry, you have a problem Our server was so polite and friendly. She took very good care of us. I had the shrimp Caesar wrap. It was very good and the portion of fries was ridiculously big. Also the sweet tea was outstanding. We will definitely make this a regular stop next time we are in Ft. Walton.

My first time visiting this place and it was very good. They have outdoor seating and live music. The no frills seafood platter is huge and definitely worth it and big portion. Three people can share that plate. The lobster rolls were also amazing jam packed with lobster meat. The food and atmosphere is perfect fit to stop by and enjoy with your family. Peel and eat shrimp and oysters were fresh and tasty. I definitely would recommend and visit on our next vacation trip.
