My husband, who eats sushi like its water, found this place one day and couldn’t wait to show me. They are a small, cozy shop in a basement in the city. They have a respectively diverse menu for a sushi restaurant and make everything individually to order. With this in mind, yes please plan to spend time there. It is a bit pricey, but for us it is worth it every time.

Terrible service and wildly overpriced food. I ordered two chicken katsu curries and one vegetable curry and couldn’t believe what I received—tiny portions, lukewarm food, and katsu that looked like frozen nuggets. The “salad” was maybe 4 or 5 wet pieces of lettuce. When I went in to explain the issue, the owner denied everything and took zero responsibility. No apology, no solution. For nearly $100, this felt like a complete ripoff. One of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in town.

Loved the place. Amazing food and ambiance of a proper Japanese restaurant, Totally worth the price of admission. Sushi was fresh and the Ramen broth was mouth watering. Definitely going back multiple times to try their whole menu:)

Small authentic feeling restaurant. Japanese curry can be found here and a full sushi bar.

Great sushi!!! We ordered toro , rainbow roll
And tuna avocado. Quality of fish was great! Gyoza and sauce were very tasty as well.

Food and atmosphere were good, but the service ruined our visit. We politely asked how long the food would take because we had a meeting afterward, and the waitress snapped, “We can CANCEL your order and you can LEAVE.” We were shocked by her rudeness and stone-faced attitude. Another waiter was kind, but this interaction with the waitress overshadowed everything. It’s disappointing to be treated this way. Now I can see why the rating of this restaurant is so low despite the good food. Management really needs to address basic courtesy and politeness.

highly recommend the chicken katsu. was probably the best chicken katsu i’ve had in my life. atmosphere + aesthetic was very authentic to how restaurants typically are in japan — cozy, warm, and minimalistic. miso soup was great too, and our waitress was so sweet and attentive. thank you !

Authentic Japanese sushi and comfort food. All of their fish is fresh, their sushi rice is perfect, and their miso soup is authentic miso.
We stopped by for lunch and were blown away. Great, welcoming service. The interior is cozy. They serve fresh green tea, which is always a plus!
This is the best quality sushi and Japanese cuisine you’ll find in all of Princeton.

Worst experience ever! We waited for 40minutes+ on the table and politely asked an estimated time. They said 10minutes but actually took way longer. The owner even complained us for not paying attention to how busy they are. An attitude like we were begging them for food. Poor service, food not authentic Japanese and poor value for money.

The worst Japanese food I’ve ever had in the US. The service was ridiculous. The food itself was disappointing. Portions were tiny — everyone left still hungry after the meal. The prices are high for such low quality and small servings. Save your money and go literally anywhere else — this place is not worth it.
