Ordered the Yuzu Tokyo ramen. It looks presentable until you taste it. The noodles were too soft and clearly overcooked, and the “broth” tasted like nothing more than water mixed with soy sauce. The only enjoyable parts of the meal were the eggs, the meat, and the iced tea I ordered.
I’m not expecting Michelin-level cuisine, nor am I saying this is “bad for ramen.” I’m simply saying the food itself was poorly prepared. You could get better results with instant ramen at home. If this is your first ramen experience, I’d strongly suggest avoiding this place.
The gyoza we ordered was so overcooked and hard (not crispy) I thought the roof of my mouth was going to tear apart.
Maybe the chef had a bad day or the Yuzu Tokyo ramen is just one of their bad menus. But will not be returning unless there’s a change in the chef or the recipe.
The service was quite fast, we went on a Sunday for lunch. The staff was very kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is truly nice and immersive.
The only small downside was that the still water was a bit expensive I think. I would definitely recommend it.
Tonkotsu taste not that heavy creamy.
Chicken karaage was very tasty crunchy and sweet. Overall was good experience.
I found it bland. I asked for an extra marinated egg, but these eggs are not marinated for enough time or with the proper technique for the egg to really absorb the marinade.
The restaurant boasts about being against MSG and “artificial chemicals”, but maybe a bit of MSG would have helped bring out the flavour of the broth.
