I recently visited this charming local sushi eatery with my granddaughter, and it was an absolute delight. From the outside, it looks very inviting, and inside it’s simple yet quaint with an authentic, welcoming feel.
We both ordered a Bento box, which came beautifully presented with a selection of sushi nigiri, sashimi, sushi rolls, salad, edamame beans, and miso soup. Everything was wonderfully fresh, and the salad dressing in particular was delicious — perfectly balanced and full of flavour.
I can’t believe this little gem is right on my doorstep. It’s the kind of place that combines quality, authenticity, and warmth in every detail. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great Japanese food.
To top it all off, the staff are incredibly nice and friendly in a special way that makes you feel truly welcomed — it really adds to the whole experience.

so tasty! went here for a nice bite to eat, and it felt super duper authentic. I loveddd the sushi selection, especially the tuna sushi (I usually like deep fried sushi; but here I wouldn’t go for it; their fresh sushi is SO much better it’s incomparable). we are definitely coming again. we tried natto for the first time and loved it!

This cute little restaurant had been on my list for a while, and I was excited to finally check it out. The area itself is lovely, surrounded by plenty of great restaurants from different cuisines, it’s such a nice spot to be in. We were seated at the counter, which was really cozy, and even though the place was extremely busy, the customer service was great and very prompt. Parking was convenient with residential spaces nearby, and our evening reservation was handled smoothly. Price-wise, it was surprisingly reasonable, we expected it to be more expensive. The restaurant itself is simple inside, nothing too fancy. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. I had the chicken curry, which was quite dry, and my friend’s ramen lacked flavour. The tea, however, was lovely. Overall, it’s worth checking out once, but I don’t see myself returning for Japanese food.

Our first time visiting this restaurant and we are definitely coming back! The most authentic Japanese food I’ve had in a long time! Fresh fish on sushi and top quality hot dishes. We ordered different dishes and we enjoyed all of them!
Thank you Ajimi!

Feeling the need for some Japanese then you can come try this restaurant. Their tempuras are crispy and not greasy. All the dishes that we have ordered were tasty. The portions are reasonable too.

A first visit to Ajimi proved very pleasant. You are warmly greeted on entry, the decor is typical Japanese and cosy, with extra seating around the kitchen/bar area.
The staff are very nice and are also very attentive. Recommended. Keep in mind, weekend visits need to be booked.

Near my place and me and my partner wanted to go out for a quick, light dinner. We always passed by this place while otw to the gym, so figured we’d try it out! We ordered the 5 kinds of sashimi and the dragon roll. Both were presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The prices were quite reasonable and way better than in any place of the same standard in central. I went to a place that charged almost twice this and didn’t place their sashimi on ice as Ajimi did. The staff were also very nice and accommodating to all our questions. Would absolutely visit again and bring more friends to go next time!

It’s a busy restaurant, so reservations are recommended. Good portions. Sushi rolls were ok, not as authentic as I would have liked. (The rice was squashed and feels like it was squished in the rolling making process.) But overall the food was good and I would come back. The fried oysters were delicious. As was the miso aubergine. The fried food all seemed very good.

I had an amazing dining experience at Ajimi Japanese Restaurant today, indulging in two incredible dishes.
✨Chirashi Don
A beautiful bowl of fresh, vibrant sashimi over perfectly seasoned sushi rice. Every bite felt like a little celebration of the ocean .
Una Tama Don
Tender grilled eel glazed with rich, sweet-savory sauce, paired with fluffy egg and warm rice . Comforting, satisfying, and absolutely addictive!
Service was warm and friendly, and the presentation was picture-perfect . I’m already planning my next visit!
Highly recommend for Japanese food lovers!
