Ajillo’s
Ajillos’s pozole is what happens when we combine our homemade soup with cabbage and side of our chips. … 611 E De La Rosa St, Del Rio, TX 78840, USA.

This is an ideal place for take out orders. You order at the counter as you walk in if you want to stay. Didn’t like the fact that the food was all in bags even though I was eating in (thawed veggies) presentation is definitely lacking but makes sense because they don’t serve you. The best part were the chips for me. The tacos seemed to have random ingredients included (would’ve preferred some cabbage or lettuce) it had two types of onions, cilantro, cucumbers?, limes, and some sauce.

Stumbled on this gem through a Google Maps search while driving through Del Rio. The reviews and location helped us decide on stopping. Food was great and came out quick. Tacos were small, which wasn’t a bad thing. Make sure to order at least six per person. Their quesadilla with meat was my favorite, and the flautas were crispy and tasty. If we ever find our way back to Del Rio, we’re definitely making another stop at Ajillos!

Service was not great, it’s about on par with fast food. The food was ok just above fast food. We had the pastor tacos and tapatio tacos, both were ok but nothing to write home about. This place has signs to pick up after yourself if that helps:0( The plating was styrofoam with plastic silverware. I can’t say I would recommend this place to anyone.

Ajillos is a small restaurant just off the main road. But don’t let the small size fool you. I’ve eaten here a number of times and the food is always outstanding! The ladies who take your order are just great and can make a good recommendation for you. The place is clean and comfortable. So hats off to the cook and to the friendly and knowledgeable ladies who take your order!

The menu is small but I like the limited options. As a result the food is very flavorful. The salsa is AMAZING, it has a very unique taste with the heat level above average. If you like spicy you will love this. I had the tacos and pozole wich come dressed up with everything. This is my favorite place for authentic Mexican food.

I went to this place while driving through del Rio on my way back from hiking, we were all famished, and the food despite it’s size was delicious and extremely filling. If you get an order of tacos you can put the toppings on yourself and choose the amount you want of each. And the guacamole is amazing.

I don’t know if the quality has changed recently but the street tacos are tiny, don’t come with cheese, and all the sides come in a bunch of plastic bags. You get meat on tiny tortillas and basically build your own taco and I don’t think they’re worth the price.

If you charge for chips and salsa, you should give more than a single ounce of salsa with the chips. Asked for more and was told it would cost more. Asada tacos were middle of the road. The food was expensive, and the service was non-existent.
