We visited Ajijic Tango as a family and ordered the ribeye steak, choosing the most expensive option with high expectations. Unfortunately, the steak did not meet our expectations in terms of flavor and how it was cooked.
The ambience, however, is very nice and relaxing, and the view adds to the overall atmosphere of the place. Service was okay, though it could be improved, as our server did not come across as very welcoming.
Overall, it was a mixed experience with a great setting but room for improvement in food quality and service.

How can you not take an out of town guest to Tango? The meal was very good, the service was very good. And we got a chance to walk it off afterwards.

This is a good restaurant but beware of the spinach stuffed chicken! The spinach stuffing and the sauce on top were delicious but the chicken was very dry and overcooked. If I’d been alone I would have mentioned it to our server but I was in a group and didn’t want to make a fuss. Everyone else was very pleased with their meal. Caprese salad was really good. Service was excellent.

Had lunch at Tango today Thursday March 3 2026. As always for the past 7 years the food & service was excellent. I recommend it to all. Today I noticed a woman standing off to the side. At first I thought she was waiting for someone because she was not wearing any Tango attire. Then she was speaking with the staff. Next she was near the entrance standing & watching over the restaurant like a prison guard. I assume she was a manager. She was wearing a t-shirt that said Lucky on it, her belly protruding from the shirt & blue jeans. Very inappropriate. I will always return because the food & service is so good. Someone tell this woman to back off a little & try a more appropriate attire. We’re not in detention after school.

Lovely atmosphere. They have window seating do you get great views of the lake.
The menu has a large selection of salads, mains…Hard to make up one’s mind.
I had the pink chicken, which was flattened chicken breast with a delicious pink sauce with sundried tomatoes and goat cheese.
The optio s for a side are amazing. I had mashed sweet potatoes.
Everyone at our table were extremely happy with their choices.
I should mention both my husband and I only ate half our dinners, great leftovers for the next day.
Will be returning.

We enjoyed a simply wonderful dinner last night at Tango. Martha our server was flawless as was the food and drinks. My wife had the breaded fish and fries while I chose the homemade pasta. Both prepared perfectly and we are hard taskmasters. No notes, definitely recommend

Our first visit to Guadalajara, friends took us to Ajijic and Lake Chapala, a short drive from the city. Well worth the drive. We stopped in for a quick early dinner, delicious. A tamarindo margarita, grilled provoleta, grilled sweet breads, salmon raviolis and a skirt steak blue salad. What a treat! Good atmosphere and service.
