This spot has modern decor with a very calming feel to it. Came in on a rainy day to enjoy some food with my mom.
I love how upon being seated, they served complimentary bowls of miso soup and provided moist towels. The service here was very attentive and friendly during the whole visit.
My mom really enjoyed the Japanese Ceviche. This dish is a unique take on the authentic Mexican dish. The fish was very fresh and flavorful, with the ponzu sauce adding a nice citrus element.
We also ordered the Grilled Saba and Aji Roll. Both were tasty.

Sushi was fantastic. The King Salmon Nigiri was massive and out of this world flavor. The avocado rolls were well portioned and perfectly ripe. Love that they have Gluten free soy sauce and are so celiac friendly. Would recommend.

We had both the sushi lunch special and the lunch special. The sushi was awesome, really generous cuts of fish that had great flavor.
The rolls were really well presented but were not as tasty as the sushi. There wasn’t a choice on the rolls and they just weren’t to our taste I think.
The agedashi tofu appetizer was really well done and the edamame was perfect. We also really enjoyed the complimentary miso soup.
Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in town.

Best sushi I’ve had since leaving SF Bay Area. Fresh, high quality, perfect presentation. Spider roll was fabulous. Wonderful hamachi figuring. Great sashimi lunch plate.

We sat at the sushi bar. The fish was super fresh and we went with some of the specials. Our friends love this place and I really enjoyed it as well. I’ve been here before but I don’t think I’ve left a review. It’s a good local place and would totally go back again.

I liked the taste fine but the portions for the rolls were tiny. Wish I could’ve given a higher rating but they need to give more food; at the rate I was paying, I could’ve gotten super high-quality omakase and it would’ve been cheaper per piece… the sushi here is not bad but not good enough to charge that rate.

We love Aji! We live in the Highlands and have eaten at this restaurant more than any other place in Issaquah. It’s our go-to for fresh sushi and I love the Japanese and Korean options. Kid and family-friendly and they always have the Seahawks or Mariners game on. Very nice and quick service! Thank you, Aji team!
Update: The staff were so nice and gave my kiddo a little toy last time we went for my husband’s birthday dinner. They also gave us a gift card which we’ll be using for our Christmas date soon. Thank you, Aji team!

If you’re a sushi enthusiast, this place is a must-visit! The restaurant’s cleanliness is impeccable, creating a welcoming and pristine environment. The staff exude professionalism, enhancing the dining experience with attentive service. A thoughtful touch was the white hot towel provided, which added a layer of comfort. Most importantly, the sushi was outstanding—fresh, expertly crafted, and absolutely delicious. This spot truly stands out as one of the best sushi places around. Highly recommended!

It was a quaint restaurant. I’m not sure if the heat was broken b/c they had a heater by the front door and it was pretty chilly inside. I ordered the caterpillar, it is not the same as the picture in the menu. They said that chef was not in that night. They did bring out warm miso soup with water right away, which was very kind. The service was pretty quick being it was pretty packed for a Wednesday night. My friend ordered the bibimbap, it was fantastic. Overall it was a good experience.
