My man and I were invited by a friend to try AJI SAI SUSHI in Milton last Saturday, February 28. When we arrived, we initially stayed in the car and looked through the window. We noticed that there weren’t many people inside for a Saturday night, which made us hesitate and wonder if the food might not be that good.
As someone who regularly checks reviews before trying a restaurant, I looked them up and found that the ratings were not very satisfying. However, to support our friend and keep an open mind, we decided to go ahead and give it a try.
As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed by a young lady, which immediately made us feel comfortable. I love food—it’s truly in my blood—and I can confidently say this restaurant did not disappoint.
The sashimi was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious. The highlight for me was the beef short ribs—they were tender, flavorful, and simply phenomenal. The food exceeded my expectations.
Steve, the owner, was excellent—patient, attentive, and very friendly. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. I do hope they consider updating their interior to better appeal to a wider audience, particularly the lighting and color palette, as this could enhance the overall atmosphere of the restaurant.
I will highly recommend this place to all my friends and to anyone visiting Milton.

Food over all was ok. However we were missing several things for while a while until we said something to the server. The shrimp dumplings (Har gow) specifically were completely bland and flavourless. The teriyaki salmon was extremely disappointing. It was so dry and over cooked I couldn’t finish it. The fries I got were sitting in basically a pool of grease from the deep fryer. The Cowboy rolls were very bad. Very dry, chewy, extremely over cooked, a part of it described in the menu, scallions, was missing entirely, and the amount of rice was disproportionate to the amount of filling, and not enough sauce. We also could not finish this due to the reasons above. The only standout food we got, was the sesame chicken. When we first walked in, we were not properly greeted. The server just pointed to a table and said “you sit there” before walking away. We will not be returning

We go here all the time as it’s one of the more affordable sushi places in the area and the food is always good.
I can’t speak on how the rolls are because I never get rolls when doing AYCE but the nigiri is good, especially the shrimp. Quiet but friendly staff (one of the waitresses now knows us as regulars and is always super friendly with us).

Craving for some sushi for a long time and we found a place that we thought suited vegans. We were attended quickly and had a table ready. We asked the gentleman to let us know which had fish sauce, dairy or eggs. He suggested quite a few items and we went with all of them.

The buffet on a weekday is reasonably priced specially because we don’t any seafood or any meats (or eggs or dairy for that matter). The staff knew which items were not for us was a big plus and made some adjustments and some that he mentioned that he just couldn’t – which to us meant a lot as well.

Most of the dishes are good. The sushi/roll rice is bit under seasoned from what we are used to. Also the avocado the first time we had was ice cold and the rest were fine.

The interior is quite simple and the service was quick and courteous

Ordered 2 sashimi set taken out, in which imitation crab (processed cooked fish paste) were a large quantity of it which is not even true sashimi. Feel cheated. Disappointing.

Rice used for sushi tastes like days old, very dry texture and flavorless. Sauce provided is also extra salty. Wasabi is the worst i have had yet. All sushi rolls have this old kitchen fan greasy smell and taste.

I would give this AYCE a zero if possible.

Do Not Eat here ! We still can’t believe that we even paid money for eating here. Stay away from this place !

Food was excellent and was really hungry.
Meet a friend for lunch great atmosphere and easy to chat and talk.
Didn’t always remember to take photos.
Spicy sauce a little too spicy for me but was good. Next time I would ask for it on the side but would still get it.
Shrimp tempura was great -tempura squid was too chewy for me.
Overall would totally return.

I gave this location 4 stars because I’ve been to other AJ Sai Sushi locations where the experience was a bit better overall. That said, this place is still great. The food is fresh and enjoyable, the service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. A solid spot that I’d happily visit again.

Food took over an hour to come out when I complained the lady was rude about it saying it takes time. Ive never had this issue here before. The sashimi was almost instant but the rolls took forever. Plus since when does ayce cost 100$ for 2 people. Service was terrible and the lady was incredibly rude. I do not recommend this place at all. I even called to reserve a booth but when I got there they told me they didnt have any available. Service has gone downhill in the last couple of years. Dont go here if you expect good service and fresh sushi.

This is for a takeout order just now. 40 dollar sushi boat was … not good. Even price wise it absolutely does not make sense. 18 of the pieces only had cucumber or avocado or a mix of both… which would’ve been fine if the other rolls with salmon, tuna, or crab was better. Terrible quality, smelt off and had an odd texture.

I used to eat in at this place for years (dine in). It was always decent for the price at the time. I strongly suggest you do takeout especially this menu order. I 1000% would go down the street to superstore and pick up a few trays from there.
