THIS IS THE BEST INDIAN FOOD IN TOWN!!!!!! I have been coming here since I was practically born with family and the food every single time is just incredible. Unlike other Indian restaurants it’s not too oily and it’s a perfect mix of creamy, sweet, salty, and savory. The staff is ALWAYS incredibly kind. They never go lightly on meats which is incredible!!!! If it’s between here a another Indian restaurant (trust me, I’ve been to them all), Ajanta is a clear-cut choice. Also. If you are wanting to dine in, they have an actual dining area that is beautiful. I’ll be back!!!!!!

This is the best Indian I have ever had in my entire life. The service was prompt and there was virtually no wait. I swear if you want authentic north Indian with a plethora of choices, please come here. We had the Vegetable Pakora, Garlic and Paneer Naan, Saag Paneer, and the Chicken Tikka Masala. I am stuffed and I only got the lunch size. I am in awe. The Chai is also fresh and has free refills?? I love this place. I’m only here on business and I would beg the staff to move to where I live.

First visit. Stylish booths/tables & chairs. Very nice atmosphere. Seating was spacious for our table of 7. Service was on point. Waiter was attentive, answering all questions and brought us exactly what we ordered in time expected for indian cuisine. Food was perfect temperature and spice level for us. Chicken tikki masala was incredible; fabulous taste as expected and serving size as expected. It’s our favorite dish wherever we go so, definitely pleased. Garlic naan was delicious!!! Loved our food, pleasant visit and will definitely return.

The food and service was fantastic, but they do NOT fool around with their spices. If you order at your usual spice level, go down 1 spice level because I usually order a spice level 4, and I should have went with a 3. Once again, I’m giving a 5 of 5 on all aspects , but WHOO! This is our favorite Indian restaurant in the Dayton area. The food is great and if you’re dining in, the service is great. For DoorDash delivery, they pack the food well so it doesn’t spill, etc.and it always arrives hot and the paneer pakora stays soft and fresh. HOWEVER, they’ve recently started charging $10 for a “delivery fee” even though Ajanta isn’t doing the delivery and I’m ALREADY paying DoorDash a delivery fee. So, sadly no more delivery from here. And since it’s a bit out of the way for us, we won’t be going in person very often. Without the fee, we’d be ordering weekly for sure!

As far as I’m concerned this is Dayton’s only Indian place. There are one or two in the region that are also very good but this is the place I’d miss the most if it were gone. I’m really glad to have them.

Best Indian food! It was my first time and I enjoyed the wonderful flavor and the portions were great for the price. I had Lamb and shrimp it was delicious. I could have been happy with just naan and their yogurt dip. The staff was amazing, they were all so kind. I will definitely be back!!!

Ajanta is a nice and big place for dine in and buffet. I ordered paapri chaat, poori and aalo cholay today. Their chaat was very tasty. It was served with tamarind chutni, mint chutni and tomatoes. Anyone who loves Pakistani food would love their chaat. Their aalo choolay were good. I ordered level 5 spicy and trust me, it was really very spicy( which I loved btw).

Love this restaurant and have ordered here for many years. The only complaint I have have is the portion size of some of their items. In the past the aloo tikki used to be the size of a burger patty and now it’s the size of a token. That’s not worth the price.
