The summer rolls are fresh, the iced Thai tea is incredibly delicious, and the staff is consistently friendly and fast. It’s a simple, reliable spot that never disappoints. If you love pho, you should definitely give it a try.
While driving, I called them to place an order.
I said, “Sorry I don’t have menu on my hand, do you have beef pho?”. The lady said, “check Yelp”. Lol.
I told her “I’m driving and can’t see the menu”. She said “we’re busy now”. Is she too busy to say yes/no to the question? So that she had to waste time with other indirect answers?
So I asked, “So is it possible to place an order to go?”. And She said yes. ??? I don’t get what her point was of saying “we’re busy”.
I said “I would like to order beef pho for a pick up if you have it”. She said “Alright, you mean number 3?” Lol. How would I know what number is if I don’t have a menu? At this point, I realized she isn’t sensible enough to continue a simple conversation so I said “It’s beef pho, yeah, You’re right” to end the whole nonsense. She told me to pick up after 20 min.
When I got to the place, the lady said “Is it too complicated to drive?”.
I asked “what?” with disbelief and the old lay said, “Because you said you can’t see the menu while driving”. Lol. I said “of course you can’t see a menu while driving”.
The entire convo with that lady was bizarre and ridiculous. She shouldn’t be the face of the restaurant. Never again with this place.
Edit: Check Yelp reviews and read how Judy, so called “manager”, responds to poor experiences of other customers. She never acknowledges their shortcomings for improvement. She could’ve easily amended the customer relationship if she let go of black/white thinking. Instead, she rushes into a defensive “I’m always right”, dichotomous mentality, like a spoiled child. Not everyone’s built for customer service and here is THE example.
Original Review: The service was good and the food came out quick. They were
REALLY friendly.
The reason I’m leaving a 1 star review was because I found MANY strands of hair or fiber in my food. I think it may have been stuck to the chicken? I don’t know how many I might have eaten before I noticed them.
Also, the food quality seemed average.
I probably would have given this place 3 stars before I found all these things in my food.
