At last!!! Delicious KOREAN food in a nicely redecorated sit-down restaurant in Lusby. The food is terrific and super healthy. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot stone bowl Bi Bim Bap (includes bulgogi) and Jap Chae. The miso soup, kimchee, and seaweed salad were also great. Can’t wait to try the Korean short ribs and spicy pork on our next visit. Love this place!!!

I used to live in Montgomery County. I have eaten and cooked a lot of Korean food in my day, and I was extremely pleased with my dish at island grill. I ordered some Jap Chae al a carte because I wasn’t hungry enough for an entree, and I requested a side of Kimchi even though my order doesn’t usually come with it. Not only did my server give me a side of homemade Kimchi AND pickled radish, he didn’t charge me for either side.
This is a new restaurant and I encourage everyone to support them. Lusby has always lacked variety as far as dine out options go, so they are a very welcome addition to the local restaurant community.

Im glad we ignored the few bad reviews (that are clearly just from miserable people) and tried this place tonight. This is a locally owned restaurant that, yes, is a location that was once a Moe’s. Who cares? The food was incredible, the service was great, and the price was reasonable. The wings were enormous, the fried dumplings were the best I’ve ever had, and the stone rice bowl was outstanding. This has earned a spot as a place I must go to when visiting the area from now on.

A bad restaurant in an even worse shopping center. Not sure where all these five-star reviews are coming from. Related to the owners? I won’t be back and you should spare yourself the headache.
Overpriced, mediocre food (shorts ribs and gang jung chicken.) Weird service. Actually, borderline terrible. You’ll feel like you’re ordering food from a hospital cafeteria — that’s the level of service you get.
From the moment we walked in and the employee mumbled at us (while remaining seated behind the counter) it was a strange vibe and it never improved. Annoyed we needed a minute with the menu, but didn’t offer any recommendations or ask if we had any questions. Dropped the check while we were eating because they “had to go wash dishes”. Never offered refills of drinks. Never asked us how our food was or if we needed anything. Mind you, we were one of only two parties in the entire place — a total of four customers and two employees.
Had to get up and track them down to get a to-go container. When I asked if I pay at the table or the counter, it seemed like they were doing me an awfully big favor by taking my card to run it at the register.
I’m sorry I asked. You never properly renovated your restaurant (be sure to check out the “Welcome to Moe’s” sign still on the wall) so it’s not clear at all if you want your customers to pay at the counter.
Returned to our vehicle to find the type of car you’d expect to see in this area parked within inches, at an angle, next to ours nearly preventing us from opening our door.

The sweet and spicy chicken gang jung is awesome. My order is always ready quickly and piping hot on pick up. Check out has been efficient and professional. I’ll definitely be going back to try other items.

I went here on Saturday ordered 20 fried wings. Did not know that the restaurant cook the wings in the same grease as they cooked seafood. This was not mentioned before nor was there anything in writing to say this. They would not give me a refund, they wanted to give me a store credit of $10, I don’t want anything else from them. They deserve 0 stars

Loved that this little gem exists in Calvert county! Born and raised in Hawaii, finding authentic Korean food in Southern Maryland is hard, the food was delicious and the service was impeccable!! Please visit this hidden gem for a great meal, you will not be disappointed! Recommend the Kalbi short ribs!!
