Last night 8/4/23 Service number one was AMAZING we had a party of 20 and she took great care of ALL of us! Ordered my prime rib medium and it came out RAW inside! I am a chef so that tells me they are not testing temps, because mine was easily at 120-130 inside instead of 145 ish and that’s not acceptable for a restaurant!! Brought it out again after deciding to cook to the proper temp and it tasted OK nothing to write home about (I’ve made prime rib it is all in the quality of meat–I bought from Kroger and it was of a better quality) Would have preferred my salad not so watery and more steak fries as a side but at least the fries were real potatoes vs what I’ve had in other restaurants lately

Oh my God, that food was amazing! Everybody that was Maurice all the way through the chicken and the steak. Found our new weekly spot! Not to mention, the waitresses are on point. I don’t think I had to ask for anything!!!!

We’ve been here at least a dozen times in the last few months. In the more than 35 steaks ordered, only one of them was served off temp. They fixed it in five minutes. Easily the most consistent well-priced steak in town.

Casual but clean. Great selection on menu. Generous portions. Good service that was friendly. My prime rib was not like in the pictures, a little suspect, and I got sick from it. I’m sure this is an isolated incident. My friend got a great wet burrito. Will try the cod fish fry next time.

Brought my wife here and she said it was the best steak she has had at a restaurant. Even better than the one we had at Capital Prime. We had the best waitress that I have ever had in my entire life. She was fast, friendly, welcoming, caring and so so sweet. Michelle is a rock star! 10 gold stars just for her!

Airport Tavern has been there for us for 20 years. It hits the sweet spot for quality, service, and price. The interior is vintage neighborhood Tavern with booth, bar, and table seating. Check it out for a day drink or a great Top Loin Sizzler.

I have lived in lansing for 10 years and never been to the airport tavern. Tonight we went for dinner. First and foremost I had the best experience with a waitress that I ever have had in my life. Her name is Michelle she was kind, caring, patience, welcoming, warm and sweet. I can not say enough positive things about her. now onto the food. I had the 8oz sirloin and let me tell you, this steak gives capital prime a run for its money. it was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection. highly recommend!

A guy I work with recommended the ribeye sandwich and we were not disappointed- I was thinking it would be a shaved beef kind of deal but it was not- it was an actual while ribeye laid on two pieces of Texas toast – very good! Nice atmosphere, keno for those that play and the only thing I didn’t like was the fries – wrinkle cut or whatever. Not a fan of the fries!
