Traveling for work and this place was recommended several times. A part of the main street in a nice location. Definitely English pub vibes. Got a seat at the bar right away, service was immediate. While they don’t offer “mixed fruit drinks,” their beer options make up for it! We tried a mix of stouts, even a couple of stouts mixed together to make a one of a kind delicious local mix(hello white stout)! The food was so good, we forgot to take pictures. The Drunken Cottage Pie(Sheppards Pie)was great just a bit small, the gravy was the icing. The Rueben sandwich was the best I’ve had in the states. Perfect mix of sauce, delicious saurkraut and right amount of corned beef. Definitely will return!

Great place off the regular tourist options. Good prices, friendly service and good food. The cottage pie is scorching hot. The pretzel sticks with beer cheese are delicious. The chicken salad on romaine lettuce is shredded chicken on a bed of lettuce. The selection of beer is very good. The red ale on nitro is fantastic! The peanut butter stout has a great peanut butter flavor. Everything great.

Food was just okay, beer was tasty but flat, service was friendly but lacking, atmosphere was cozy.

One thing they offer from their Irish pub reminescent menu is a rather large “loaded” baked potato with various topping options. I had a bacon/chicken/ranch loaded potato which was that day’s special. However the shredded chicken in the potato was completely bland, and drier than the Atacama desert – the driest desert in the world!

To be fair I ordered it with ranch on the side (maybe should’ve asked for butter or something in the potato to help moisten the chicken). In any case the dreaded dry-shredded chicken turned almost to a powder consistency on the tongue; it was a very strange mouth feel.

I forgot the name of it, but the beer I ordered had a nice rounded maltiness to it with hints of caramely bread; a very well-balanced grain profile that was familiar but still interesting. My one complaint is that it was served with no visible head, completely flat and there just wasn’t much carb to the beer at all. Not sure if this was intentional or a mistake during the kegging process. I would’ve enjoyed it more if it had 2.3-2.5 volumes of CO2 in terms of carb level which would be more in the conventional range for that style of beer.

The service was okay, everyone was really nice. I just don’t like asking for stuff like napkins & silverware, water refills etc.

It is a nice cozy little place to grab a beer in the summer, or warm up after a hike in the winter

Ambiance: Irish Pub style

Service: AMAZING. Our server was bouncing around between the bar and dining area to make sure that everyone was taken care of. One person show!

Food: Loved the fish tacos!

Be aware that this is a beer and cider place with mediocre food & no cocktails. Had to order quickly since the kitchen closes an hour before the bar.
The clam chowder had hard potato chunks and rubbery clam.
The lukewarm beer cheese just tasted like cheese.
The baked potatoes & the Rueben looked good though!

Best day ever. Small place and fantastic atmosphere. Max was running things like a champ. We had the clam chowder, broccoli cheddar soup, and steak & ale pie. Everything was perfect. We tried everything on draft and didn’t drink anything we wouldn’t have again. Max, you rock!

My husband and I are a big fan of this Brewing. We have tried 3 different beers. They are all excellent! Very thoughtful and genius. Whenever we tell people to try their Peanut Butter beer or Raspberry Mint, people usually get gross out right away. They are so delicious. A double IPA is absolutely perfect. Food is amazing. (Average $17 per dish.) The restaurant is cute and comforting. The service is slow, but one lady does it all. So give her a break, would ya? Overall, I would strongly recommend this place.

The atmosphere is amazing. I love getting a flight and trying all the weird beers they have. The Schoodic Sunrise does not disappoint and I get it every time. The food is pretty good.

We really enjoyed stopping here for dinner. It’s a small space, so that’s something to keep in mind if it’s a busy time of day; however, the food was fantastic and the beer menu has a pretty good variety. The clam chowder was delicious. My friends both loved their meals (steak & cheese toasty and fish tacos). We got seated quickly and got our food just as fast. Definitely a great place to hit up.

After two recent trips to the UK I was happy to find a restaurant that served traditional British foods in a fun pub setting. There were some American bar foods on the menu as well. I had the Cornish Pasty, a pint of cask ale, and sticky toffee pudding, all of which were delicious.
