The fact that they had literal Chobani yogurt instantly makes this a 5 star DFAC.

The administration at the Airborne DFAC shows a serious lack of organization and fairness toward Transition Soldiers. Despite the fact that we are also Army Soldiers and pay for this DFAC, we were forced to wait over an hour to eat, while priority was given to Airborne companies—even after they arrived. This delay happened outside of duty hours, making it even more unacceptable. All soldiers deserve fair treatment and an efficient food distribution system!

The food today was disappointing. I ordered the chicken cordon bleu because the other options didn’t look appetizing or edible.

They offer a short-order line where you can get a hamburger, hot dog, and fries if you prefer.
For those interested in vegetarian options, they do have a salad bar available. They also offer some fruit choices.

The lady at the front was friendly and provided great service, but the rest of the staff was less impressive. I can understand why they might not be thrilled to work there.

Personally, I won’t be returning. I paid for my meal, but if you’re looking for a free dining experience, you might want to give it a try.

Pancakes/waffles are either rocks or as advertised with rock edges. Russian Roulette.

Chicken tenders are either crunchy or soggy. Also Russian Roulette.

All in all, why am I here…

Also, Coffee… one of the machines works, one side of the machine switches daily between coffee and water, the other is questionably coffee. Basically it’s puddle water army coffee as usual.

Enjoy.

The quality of the food is terrible, I understand that we are in the south but not every meal needs to have something fried. If there is a know number of soldiers that the ABN DFAC will be supporting, how is it that they run out of food before processing every student? The attitude of the servers is spotty at best. I’ve seen multiple soldiers noticing that single serving milk containers are close to spoiling or have a foul taste or smell. There is no consistency on the salad bar no the serving portions. With the COVID pandemic, hand washing has been mandated and from 4 hand washing stations only one was working for the entire line. A DPW work order should not take more than a day to fix. It is simple stuff but they require management to step out of the office, observe and refine their SOPs and service provided to the service member.

Thanksgiving dinner very disappointed. Food items on menu not available. Tasteless and dry food. Payed $9.04 per person at $54 (6 people). Vets not treated properly. Green recruits allowed in first of line. 2 lines would work.

The WORST DFAC I have ever been to. unprofessional and rude staff. I can handle DFAC food and I know it’s not supposed to be “5-star” quality, but it’s something about this DFAC that makes me want to die when I walk through the doors. Can’t believe I even have to pay for this garbage.
