⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (10 Stars if I could!) Hidden Gem with the BEST Happy Hour
“If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Aiko Sushi is a total hidden gem in Rancho Cordova. The food is incredible, but the best part is that Happy Hour is ALL DAY on Tuesdays and Sundays.
I came in on a Tuesday to take advantage of the deals and ordered a feast. You have to try the Aiko Gyoza—it’s sauteed with ‘911 sauce’ and parmesan cheese, which sounds wild but tastes amazing. The Pepperfin was fresh with the perfect amount of jalapeño heat, and the Eel Nigiri was melt-in-your-mouth good. Finished it off with crispy Squid Legs (Ika Geso) and hot sake.
Great prices, great service, and huge flavor. Don’t sleep on this spot!”

Had one of the best sashimi mix plates! Fish was fresh, flavorful, good texture, and it was a very good variety.

We were seated by an amazing server, Lai. He was very helpful and friendly. He helped us pick out the right sushi. We ordered the Shrimp tempura roll and the Superman Roll with a yummy strawberry mochi dessert. Sushi was very fresh and Lai gave us a small amount of each sauce to try with it. This place has a nice scenery and very clean. All the staff have great customer service but shout out to Lai for his great service!! Will definitely come back!

I told my wife that I wanted to try this place for awhile now. She finally agreed to stop by, as I entered I was greeted politely and was told to sit anywhere I wanted to sit. As we were looking at the menu trying to decide what we wanted to eat. My wife ordered the teriyaki combo, which came with more food than she expected. I ordered the shrimp tempura udon. Which came with shrimp and vegetable tempura. My wife started to eat my tempura not knowing that her meal would also have shrimp and vegetable tempura. I also ordered Akami sashimi, and Ikura which is my favorite. I’ve eaten a lot of Ikura but this one took me by surprise it’s the best that I’ve ever tasted. And for dessert my wife ordered the mango mochi ice cream and I ordered the fried ice cream, I ended up sharing my fried ice cream with my wife but I also ate 6 of her mango mochi ice cream. Both were very delicious. Usually I would take leftovers home for myself, but I guess I enjoyed my food so much I ate everything that I ordered.

In a nutshell; pretty neat sushi establishment, not a strong suggest but an ok spot if to try if you’re in the area.

Another sushi place with specialty sushi that have rather unique names. Lots of parking space around. Went during dinner and it was fairly busy but place had a lot of seats and comfortable booths for any time of the day. Servers were great. Food didn’t take too long to arrive. Never had trouble having refills for water. Overall always a pleasant experience every visit.

I’m not sure where all the 4-5 star reviews come from for the price of their menu items. I’m used to comparing sushi restaurants to Mikuni (mid range) or Kru (high range). Aiko is priced like Mikuni. It wasn’t bad but I drove 40 minutes to meet a friend here and it was just okay. It started off okay but nothing “wowed” us. We ordered the lemon drop and it was good but the avocado that was supposed to be on it was squished to add color but seemed to be omitted from the roll. We ordered spicy scallop hand rolls and the waitress came in a time warp later to tell us that they made them tempura style because they weren’t sure if that’s how we wanted them. They never came back to ask us fyi…they just decided to serve them to us this way. Scallops are a very delicate ocean shellfish and ANY true sushi chef knows not to mess with the sweet and delicate nature of the ocean scallop. We waited so long for the food we didn’t decline the hand rolls but they were not good. Sushi chef fail. We got one other roll that I can’t remember. Plating of sushi was lackluster. Just sushi rolls on a plate. No garnish, sauce drizzle, etc. The whole experience was uneventful. Service was extremely slow. I will not go back. FYI the scallop hand roll was $11 a piece. Very pricey for a hand roll. Again, comparing to Mikuni and Kru. If you want a great fine dining experience next to Kru try Roku sushi on Freedom way next to Top Golf. They use real chopsticks, etc. presentation is top notch. That’s been our new go-to place.

We’ve visited twice now and everything was amazing. I am super picky about sushi and was really excited such an awesome place so close to home. Definitely try the Hamachi appetizer and have fun with some chefs special rolls.

Aiko Sushi is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants in Ranch Cordova. The Sashimi and rolls are delicious, and the bento boxes are yummy and generous.

The employees at Aiko Sushi work hard to ensure that you enjoy the food and their service. The dining room is big, and I like the distance between the tables. The parking lot is clean and safe.

Darling little place with a staff that seem to be in over their heads. Why do restaurants insist on playing loud music so pattons cant here each other. The rolls loose and generally meh. Part of our order (gyoza) didn’t arrive until after we had eaten, not our waitress’ fault but perhaps because it may have come from costco. Our waitress was a stunningly beautiful woman who apparently didn’t know how to use the POS (that’s ‘pont of sale’) device. Over charged us then seemed refund everything plus a little bit more and then chased us into the parking lot and asked us to pay again. Only to have the chef do it for her. (See above) He didn’t remove his rubber glove to do so. I hope he changed or washed them before returning to food prep.

Best sushi hands down, always flavorful and fresh. They dont skimp out on the fish/ingredients. Always a perfect ratio of rice and fish (instead of a huge layer of rice and a tiny piece of fish like at some places). This is our favorite spot and we order from them constantly!
