Ai Sushi in Plano is one of my favorite go-to places for quality sushi. The owner, AJ, makes sure to supply fresh seafood every single visit, and he’s a friendly person as well. My favorite roll there is the Randy’s Dawn, which does not include rice. It’s very fresh and light with a lemon flavored sauce. I tried a new dish this time, which is called the Ai Fresh Sushi Roll and the fish is wrapped in pickled radish. This roll is much more sour because of the radish. It tastes good, and it can help with balancing some of the more savory rolls. If you’re looking for appetizers, I recommend the karaage chicken and the takoyaki. Both are very savory, cooked and fried to perfection.

100/10 experience – first off. I’m sold at any sushi restaurant that automatically brings edamame to the table with the water. We started with Sake Salmon Sashimi, such fat pieces and so fresh. Then the Tako Yaki (octopus balls) which I had never had before, surprisingly delicious. Like octopus hush puppies and I love hush puppies. For sushi we split the Plano Roll and the M&M roll. The Plano. Roll was AMAZING. I think my favorite roll I’ve ever had. The M&M roll was also amazing, just a little heavy with it being fried and sauce heavy. But still delicious. And then we finished off with the green tea ice cream. Two scoops so we were able to split, the perfect refreshing ending to an amazing meal. In and out in 50 minutes, never felt rushed and service was phenomenal.

Great service, and very good presentation. I had the dinner combination, half oyakodon and half udon, and this came with a western salad and wakame salad. It was very good, and I liked that the salmon was fatty. I would have liked it cut into smaller portions to go better with the rice. They bring you edamame for the table, a nice touch!

I eat out at a lot of sushi places. At a point, they all taste the same. Today’s experience at Ai Sushi was different.

This is my absolute favorite place for Japanese food in the area! The sushi is always incredibly fresh, and I love how generous they are with the ingredients. The takoyaki and yaki soba are so flavorful and delicious. Overall, in every aspect – service, cleanliness, food quality, and price – Ai Sushi consistently never fails to impress.

I visited my relatives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area for the holidays and we were craving some sushi for our family get-together. One of my cousins recommended Ai Sushi, their sushi spot that they frequently dine at.

The sushi and tuna tower were excellent. I was not a fan of the gyoza as it was too oily, and the vegetables inside it were too mushy. Also, I’m not a fan of the stainless steel cups or the fact that there were multiple gnats flying around in the restaurant irritating our table and touching our food. I would return again solely for the tuna tower, that was great.
