More gyros for me. This time it was Ahmo’s, and it was pretty good. Not a 3.5, but not quite a 4 so I had to round up on the stars for my rating.
I had the traditional gyro with fries and I had a Ahmo’s gyro that had chicken on it as well as the traditional lamb/beef. The former had tzatziki on it and the latter a garlic sauce.
Out of the two the traditional was the winner. It was good throughout each bite. The Ahmo’s gyro had a bit of a dry texture caused by the chicken.
The fries were OK.
Would likely stop in again if someone said they wanted to.

The food at this location and the one in A2 is incredible. I’ve always ordered by phone, no complaints with how staff treated me either on phone or in-person. These locations care about the quality of photo they’re putting out and you can tell any time you order.

I have been eating at Ahmo’s since my college days. I have always had fantastic tasting food from both the Ann Arbor and Ypsi locations. I was just at the Ypsi location on Monday, and it was the most awful tasting meal ever. The gyro meat was flavorless and dry, the tomatoes were slimy and there were only 3 tiny slices, it had an over abundance of onions (and I asked for NO onions), the pita tasted like old grease, and the rice was a yellow color & tasted strange (did they change the kind of rice?). The fattoush had a lot of green peppers, which have never been in the salad and are not on the menu description, and ruined the taste of the salad.
The prices have gone way up, which I completely understand, but $15 for a meal that was inedible was absolutely unacceptable. I am so sad, because this was a favorite place of mine to eat. However, that is the last time I’ll be visiting this location.

Great food when you’re on a time crunch. Better than I’d expect from fast food but not quite the quality of a full sit down Mediterranean restaurant, which is fine because they charge a fair amount for good food. Estimated wait times have been accurate and food warmth/quality have always met or beat expectations. After 4-5 visits I can safely recommend their consistency which seems to be the main negative when dealing with Mediterranean fast food establishments. If you’re looking for the full sit down Mediterranean experience this isn’t it, it’s definitely fast food, but it sets the bar high for Amerimediterranean style fast food :).

Until today, we ordered Gyros from this location regularly. I saved a coupon that offered multiple deals, did not expire until the end of the month, and listed this location specifically. The lady I spoke to initially tried to make reasons why my coupon was not valid (not this location, etc). After I had countered each reason, she told me that the manager had decided that they don’t take coupons anymore.
I certainly understand that a business may stop offering coupons, but I expect them to accept their own unexpired coupons. There are too many good restaurants in this area to spend our money at a restaurant that doesn’t honor it’s own offers.
Update: My husband stopped in again after the interaction I described and after speaking to the manager, found that there was a misunderstanding. Rather than denying the coupon, the coupons to be offered in the future were changing. We were given the offer I had attempted to use as a coupon, and will resume ordering food from this restaurant.
We usually order gyros, fries, soup or salad. The food we receive is consistently good, with the gyros generously sized. We always have special requests, and 9/10 times they are applied perfectly and identifiable from the other items.

Decent! Glad I decided to try them again after a minor issue a year or two ago. Fries were tasty and fresh. Meat was a tad dry, but wasn’t greasy, had just enough sauce and tasted pretty good. Sauce was good when thick, but some of it was watery and runny. Maybe needed mixed back together? Very filling for the price! I’ll have to add them back to our list of restaurants we go to on occasion.

I so in here once it twice a month. Whenever I’m in the area n pick up gyros to take home. They are excellent n have good prices. The gyros are always full and fresh n packed with lots of lamb. Very satisfied with their service also. Always friendly and courteous.

Super good Mediterranean style food. It’s a counter serve style place and the restaurant is clean and modern. They have great hummus, grape leaves, and shawarma wraps. Their salads are great too. My wife and I love the food so much that we had them cater our wedding in 2016. The caterers were punctual, professional, and friendly. The food was a big hit amongst our guests.

Called a take out order in. Was to have gotten the charbroiled chicken Caesar salad. Got back to work and it was just a regular Ceasar salad.
have never been so disappointed in a restaurant before ever. $10.50 for a little Caesars Salad that has maybe .50 cents of lettuce on it.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone!

The food is good, take it I only get the chicken gyro, but they NEVER put enough garlic sauce on my food. Who want to eat a dry gyro? I have had their food on many different occasions. When I seen that there was one on Washtenaw I ate inside. I had dined in twice and I noticed a pattern each time I went. They would greet you when you came to the register but when it was time to get my food, instead of them bringing it out to me like they did other ethnicities, non- African American, they would just shout out your order to pick up at the counter. Both times I went I experienced this and no it was not busy or was there anyone at the register. I can understand if it was busy and you couldn’t walk it over to the table, but if you are going to only serve certain people it’s not fair or equal. I will no longer be returning to this establishment anymore.
