Went to this place for first time mid week. They have lunch specials! The prices are reasonable and the sushi was great. I love love love a place even more when the staff has great service. The staff was all friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be coming

I love coming here during my lunch hour. Today I tried the “Sancho” roll (no rice) and it was tasty. The roll is wrapped in soy wrap. I recommend trying the Stuffed Mushrooms and Spicy Garlic Edamame.

This is my husband’s favorite sushi place. We went for his birthday yesterday. But we’ve been there many times. He says they have the best sushi. The freshest fish of all. I’m not a sushi fan but they have plenty of other options for those of us who like our food cooked. I had the teriyaki beef bowl and it was fabulous. Large portion had to bring the second part home.

Came here for a lunch date with my boyfriend and we both went for the lunch special rainbow roll. Honestly, it was perfect — fresh, colorful, and so delicious! We kept stealing bites from each other’s plates even though we ordered the same thing .
The vibe at Ahi Sushi is super relaxed, which made it feel like the perfect spot for a casual date. Service was friendly and fast, and the rolls were such a great deal for the quality.
We left happy, full, and already planning to come back for another sushi date soon. Highly recommend if you’re in San Marcos!

Pretty run of the mill mid range suburban sushi restaurant. Fish isn’t particularly fresh and the roll-centric menu is pretty reliant on heavy helpings of eel sauce and spicy mayo. If you’re not a sushi snob you’ll probably feel that it’s solid, and if you are a bit of a snob you’ll likely walk away disappointed. Just come in knowing what to expect. That said, even by the typical standards for this type of sushi restaurant I did feel that the imitation krab(which is present in pretty much every roll) had TOO much mayo.
Part of these complaints are balanced by the fact that the menu prices are incredibly affordable for a Southern California sushi restaurant.

We finally found a great place to eat in Escondido area. The food was great and the prices were better than reasonable for a Sushi place. They offer 50% off on the most popular dishes and the portions are big. My daughter loved the soup and my son enjoyed the orange chicken bowl. We are definitely going back.
