Ahadu Coffee is an absolute gem! The service was exceptional from the moment I walked in — warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. The chai was AMAZING… perfectly spiced, smooth, and honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. The owner truly went above and beyond to make sure I
had a great experience, which made it feel even more special. You can tell there’s real care and passion behind this place. Highly recommend — I will definitely be back! ☕️✨

Located inside large multipurpose building.
Couple of table & seating options.
No outlets available, unless you sit next to the coffee cart.
Signature coffee tasted great.
The chief burrito was pretty flavorless if hot sauce or something is available I would add something to it. (I didn’t get anything to add to it but also didn’t ask)
-the pastries looked so good.
Definitely a location great from grab & go or quick meeting with the seating options they have set up. Not ideal work area though as it’s not a coffee shop like one would think.

A hidden gem of the finest Ethiopian coffee tucked inside a building in Lee’s Summit! Teddy, the owner, is a fascinating gentleman to speak to about coffee and roasting technique.

I recently discovered the best coffee place and it has been a highlight of my life. The customer service is simply amazing. always greeting with a smile. The owners are also very generous, asking if I would like some extra shot of coffee or anything else. I cannot recommend this place enough – it’s simply amazing. I have already told everyone about it and I can’t wait to go back and enjoy it again. Thank you so much to the staff for making my experience so wonderful.

Came to Independence to visit family last weekend, and they took us to Ahadu. Such a warm and inviting coffee shop. The savory crepes were to die for! The Ahadu special coffee was the best uniquely spiced coffee I’ve ever had! But what made it perfect was the owners joy in serving every single customer that came through those doors. Can’t wait til we’re in town again because we will definitely be back!

Ahadu Coffee is hands down the best coffee shop in the Lee’s Summit area—not just for its wide variety of coffee options, but also for its warm atmosphere, delicious food, and incredible hospitality. The owner and staff are genuinely welcoming and always happy to help you find the perfect drink.
Their beans, sourced from Ethiopia, are some of the best I’ve ever had—far surpassing anything from Starbucks, 7Brew, or other independent coffee shops. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, Ahadu Coffee is a must-visit. You won’t be disappointed.

This is a great place for a coffee and a breakfast burrito. The macchiato was A+. I had the Rise & Wake burrito and it was absolutely delicious. The best part is Ahadu himself. He is so warm and friendly. You will not see the sign on the outside of the building. You have to go inside and you will see the cute little food truck on the left side.

The Crepes here are amazing!!! They are only $7.99 and are larger than most sandwiches. Easily the best tasting Crepe I’ve ever eaten. The employees were also super nice. You can watch as they make the crepes and the guy was doing a great job entertaining my little girls and explaining the process of making them. The coffee is amazing too. I got the Ahadu special coffee and it was delicious. Thank you for a great dining experience!! We will be back!

This place is a hidden gem! My husband and I tried it out for the first time today, we both got the chief breakfast burrito which was hot and delicious. He got a chai latte and I got a caramel latte. Both were great! We find most places don’t have very strong chai but this one was delicious! Will probably be coming here more often!

Ahadu Coffee was one of the best coffee shop experiences I’ve had in a long time. The ambiance was welcoming without being awkward, and the coffee was excellent. I was impressed with the number of coffee options they have (drip, pour over, chemex, French press, and siphon brew), along with the hot and cold options on the menu.
They roast on site, which adds a lot of depth to the coffee profiles they offer. To start today, I had the drip coffee, which is my baseline for evaluating a coffee shop. Today’s coffee was a Cuji, which was clearly recently roasted and excellent. My friend had the Ahadu Special, which was a creamy coffee drink with chocolate and spice overtones. It seems like there is a lot to explore here, and overall, I was impressed. I’ll definitely be back!
