New Haven style pizza done perfectly. That char on the crust was fantastic – visually and tasting as well. The staff is so accommodating and willing to go the extra mile. We really enjoyed the classic cheese with meatballs added. Even the cheeseless pizza was extremely well done. Glad they’ve decided to come to Atlanta, and we’ll be back.

Ah-Beetz New Haven Pizza – Marietta, GA
Highest Score: 5/5
Wow, I’ve been looking for a good pizza in Georgia for more than 30 years. Up to this point most pizzas are drastically disappointing or don’t really resemble pizzas at all. I have always wanted to find a pizza that had the true characteristics of the northeast particularly New York City or even better, New Haven, Connecticut. This pizza from Ah-Beetz does not disappoint. It is by far the most authentic and tasty pizza I’ve had in Georgia or for that matter the southeast US in decades. There is a lot of good pizza available, but none that have the qualities of a truly New Haven pie like this pizza. Perfect crust, perfect flop, perfect flavor from the tomato sauce, perfect under-carriage, perfect char, and real mozzarella and pecorino romano cheese to die for.
If you’re one of my followers, you know that I’m very critical with restaurant reviews and rarely find really great food. This restaurant is an exception and one that you should try if you truly love pizza made as pizza should be. I give Ah-Beetz pizza my highest score of 5/5 and my full recommendation .
Trust me, if you know what good pizza is supposed to taste like, I think you’ll agree with me that this pizza is outstanding in every way.
GREAT PIZZA TEAM AH-BEETZA !!
“New Haven-style pizza, or “apizza,” is a regional American pizza known for its thin, chewy, and often charred crust, traditionally cooked in a coal-fired oven, giving it a smoky flavor.”

I have been checking this place out on social media for the past couple of months. I’m glad I finally got a chance to get here. We thoroughly enjoyed our food! The meatballs were probably the absolute star of the show. The marinara and cheese atop the meatballs definitely add the complexity and flavor that’s set them apart! The garlic Parmesan wings were pretty good. I’m a huge garlic and Parmesan snob, so that’s saying something. They are wet; which, if they were dry, would make them an automatic loser for the most part. I did enjoy the way they were cooked. One critique is they could be a little bit more crispy. You could tell they came out crispy, but the steam softened up the skin a little bit by the time we began eating. The marinara base pizza was awesome. We got a plain Mootz with extra cheese and that was phenomenal. The under carriage of both pizzas were very on point. Nice and crispy with a little char and crunch. The white spinach and fresh tomato pie was fairly decent. We did add chicken and bacon to the white pie. I’d say they’re white pies need a little bit more salt and flavor. The marinara based pies are great as they are! Brie, our server was prompt, helpful, and on point. She was very attentive and did a phenomenal job herself! The atmosphere was great. New establishment and looks new and is clean and contemporary for a pizza place. The teal brick on the main countertop that separates the dining area from the kitchen, stood out in a great way.

Ever since trying New Haven ah-beetz pizza, we’ve been on the hunt for a similar style near Atlanta! To our surprise, a new ah-beetz location was about to open in Marietta! This pizza is really really good, perfectly crispy and flavorful. The undercarriage had very little flop, even after sitting for 5-10 minutes. Great price point as well! We are so happy to have an ah-beetz near us and will definitely be back many times! The employees were all very welcoming and the service was great

The real deal New Haven style. We ordered one large pie—the traditional mootz—crushed it, then followed with a large white… and crushed that too. The dough comes from an old family recipe in the founder’s lineage, and it shows. The undercarriage was excellent, the tomato sauce perfectly tangy, and the mozzarella subtle enough to keep it feeling light.
But the white pie was the true revelation. The garlic, olive oil, cheese, and those charred bubbles came together in a dream of dreams. Ah-Beetz is the best pizza we’ve found anywhere in the metro. If you’ve never had New Haven–style pizza, that needs to change. Start here.

First time trying Ah-Beetz today and I can’t wait to go back. The staff was extremely friendly from the host/cashier to our server and the owner all super kind and welcoming! The food was on par with the service; if you like thin crust pizza and great wings you have to come try it. The sandwiches and dessert pizza were also great. Can’t wait to go back and try different things!

As a fan of Chicago thin pizza, I’ve never been a huge fan of New York Pizza. But I’ve always wanted to try New Haven pizza. Tonight was the night. I must say, I was very impressed. I love the thin crispy crust, and it was the perfect blend between a good Chicago thin pizza and a New York pizza without all the grease (and flop). The toppings were plentiful and flavorful, and we will be back!

Excellent customer service and great pizza. When we walked in, every single employee greeted us. One of the owners came over to our table just to thank us for dining in, and gave us some info on the history of the restaurant. Our waitress was extremely attentive and catered to our every need. And then, there’s the pizza… A New Haven-style lover’s paradise. The crispy, bubbly, charred crust was the best part about it.
I will absolutely be back!

We finally made it to Ah-Beetz today. Being a native of CT, and growing up with some of the best pizza places in the country we were pleasantly surprised at what we found. Started with a plain
“Traditional Mootz”, sauce was spot on, mozzarella awesome flavor.
Crust was firm and held up great. Next we moved on to a Sausage pepper, and onion pie. The Italian sausage was delicious with a generous amount present. Due to the pie being cooked at such a high temp 800 degrees I felt the peppers did not have enough time to soften up and release their flavor. Will we be back, absolutely, this place checked all my boxes including the Foxon White Birch soda from East Haven CT.

Excellent pizza!! My wife and I each got a small
Pizza and it was so good. I’ve always wanted tot try this New Haven style pizza and we loved it. We split a small Italian house salad we got the Italian dressing. We also asked for a side of the creamy garlic that was incredible! Pro tip, dip your crust in the creamy garlic dressing. Highly recommend!
