Because it’s closed!! Drove an hour to get here. Checked online on yelp, their Facebook, and Google Maps first The website doesn’t work. The phone doesn’t work but everything says it’s opened. The shop has restaurant equipment in it but can’t find a new location for them. Absolutely ZERO signage!!!!!! What an inconvenience and waste of time!

I was looking forward to going to this little sandwich shop, but I probably caught them on an off day because service was unfriendly, short, and very delayed. However, to give them the benefit of the doubt, the shop was crowded and there were a couple of other families there that I am sure have caused some stress for the restaurant as well. It seemed as though they were understaffed and it was apparent that some of the workers was fed up.
Nonetheless, when I was able to put an order in, I ended up getting the Fried Plantains and the Cubano. The plantains came out burnt and were unpleasantly greasy. The sandwich was better, but nothing to rave about. Overall, the experience was just uneasy and I just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.
I would go back still, but I would go on an off hour to avoid any crowds and hopefully get them when they are not as overwhelmed.

I was very disappointed with my sandwich I ordered a turkey sandwich and I’ve had sandwiches there before,I had to add lettuce and tomatoes to my sandwich most sandwiches come automatically with lettuce and tomato but this sandwich was not made correctly there was no mayo or mustard on both sides of the bread just some meat melted cheese on the bread anyone knows if you have a turkey Cuban or turkey sandwich you’re only going to toast the bread. sandwich taste just like Cuban bread you cannot taste any of the condiments or toppings and I was very hesitant to come back here and give and give them another chance money not well spent

I was told it would be a 25 min wait for 2 sandwiches but ended up taking over 45 mins when there were only a couple people in front of us. Looks like they take many more Uber/Doordash orders that than they can handle. I ordered a ham, bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. The cheese was Kraft singles quality and there was barely any ham and bacon. Worst sandwich I’ve had. Will never come back and recommend you don’t waste your time and money.

Absolutely amazing sandwich! The Media Noche is so good it is worth ordering from a window at a building that has no sign and looks boarded up, the only sign of life being a lit up open sign. But if you can get past that, you get an amazing sandwich for $9.

I have been coming to this small cafe for many years and love it more each time I come. It was recently renovated and even underwent new ownership but has maintained its charm, great service, and even better food. Their coffee is probably the best I have ever had, and their sandwiches really are the biggest ever. This place is super casual, so no need to get fancy.

This is how now Aguila Sandwich Shop cheat their way with the “the best Cuban sandwich in the Tampa Bay” maybe back on 1995 definetly not now in 2019. So think again….before you pay $7.45 when you can drive to Bravo Supermarket 5 minutes away and get three times the pork amount and only pay $5.99 for your sandwich.

Ordered through GrubHub, who were kind enough to refund the two problem items (out of 3)
First, I ordered a deviled crab. I know, right? Yum! Nope. They sent me a stuffed potato. When I cut into it, there was like a tablespoon of ground beef surrounded by air. That’s when I realized I didn’t actually have a deviled crab. I thought it looked odd, not crab shaped at all.
Second, I ordered a breakfast sandwich with extra bacon. It was RAW. Like it looked at a microwave raw. Of course, that makes the entire sandwich inedible because cross contamination (on a funny side note, GrubHub customer service, while refunding the sandwich, advised the sandwich was safe to eat because it’s not like it’s poisonous…whaaa? GrubHub, your boy gonna get someone dead with advice like that!)
Finally comes the cuban sandwich. I ordered mustard on it and it was absolutely slathered in it. There was also no cheese. And it was barely pressed. The bread was so chewy.
I tried to call them to warn them about the bacon but they just don’t answer the phone.
Just yuck overall. Do not recommend.
