This is my second time my mouth was been graced by these delicious sandwiches that I am compelled to write a review.
Where do I begin?! Firstly, behold the bread baked fresh to near golden perfection. A perfect vessel or a golden chariot for which ingredients of the finest caliber rides swiftly into thy mouth.
I’ve had the Tempesta, and the Viking and the gf had the Real Italian(twice). All incredibly delicious, there’s a moment of sweet bliss where I am reminded that life is good…this very moment where I can enjoy the work of a finely crafted and beautifully executed sandwich.
I am fan and am moved and honored to have had such a wonderful experience and sandwich.

Been looking for a good sandwich spot in the area and I caught this place out of the corner of my eye driving by. Something told me to stop in. I’m glad I did because I got one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life. I walked in and was greeted friendly and said it was my first time. The gentleman at the front was very helpful and I made a decision on the Tempesta and OH.MY.GOD if you don’t know now you know this is the place to go.

Ok listen. I’m a foodie and I show it. I love a good sandwich. I have ordered from A&G 4-5 times, I have not been in the restaurant, but these sandwiches are amazing. I’m enjoying the Viking as I type this, and I can’t tell you how good this is. Subway or Jimmy John’s or Jersey Mikes is going to buy this place – SO THEY DON’T HAVE TO COMPETE. Because they lose every time hands down. This is a gourmet sandwich and one of the best in all of Chicago. They have fresh ingredients, great combinations, and I can’t tell how you how good this. I guarantee you I am a 3rd party, not affiliated at all, and the purpose of this post is so that people listen. And keep them open- because I want to keep eating their sandwiches. If you’re on the fence about trying to- try one. I dare you. That will be the end of any other sandwich coming close to the bar. CHALLENGE.

Checked this place out on a whim based on reviews, and now I’ll be back. Old school Italian deli vibe with quick, quality service. I got the La Tempesta sandwich and it didn’t disappoint one bit. The sandwich was absolutely amazing, such a unique flavor combo with warm, sweet, and flavorful ingredients. The Torres black truffle chips were a solid pairing as well. Can’t wait to come back, worth going out of the way for too.

This place is absolutely excellent. I’ve ordered from them twice and both times the sandwiches have easily been amongst the best sandwiches I’ve had in my entire life. I’m thoroughly impressed at how fresh the ingredients taste and how the sandwiches seem to have a really lovely mixture of flavors.
I’ve ordered through delivery both times, and impressively, the sandwich comes intact and delicious. I’m not able to venture out as I’m healing up, but once I’m able, I’ll check it out in person and update if that changes my opinion any.

I came in on a Tuesday and was greeted by three super friendly workers who made me feel so welcome. They answered all my questions, joked around, and had such great energy. I tried the Tempesta since they said it was one of their specialties, and it was absolutely to die for. Amazing food and even better service!

Fantastic and casual little spot in downtown GE. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh, and the price is right. Their sandwiches are delicious and I just saw they also sell deli meat by the 1/4lb so it’s easy to grab some for lunches while you’re there. The dill potato salad is a must try! Me and my family are happily becoming regulars.
