If you are staying at Moon Palace Cancun and love Indian cuisine, Agra is an absolute must‑visit! From the very moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm, genuine welcome from the host and staff that instantly makes you feel like a valued guest. The décor and ambience are stunning—elegant lighting, intricate details, and a calm, refined atmosphere that feels like true fine dining while still being relaxed enough to enjoy with family or friends.
The service here is exceptional—many other guests rave about how attentive and knowledgeable the team is, and we experienced the same. They guide you through the menu with care, explaining dishes and spice levels, and never rushing you even on busy nights. A dinner reservation is absolutely essential, as this place is incredibly popular and tables fill up quickly.
Now, the food… simply bursting with authentic flavours! Every dish we tried was vibrant and beautifully presented. The curries, the tandoori selections, the fresh naan—each bite was rich and layered, just like you’d expect from top‑tier Indian cuisine. A friendly tip from both our experience and other reviews: if you’re adventurous with spice, try the vindaloo—but know that they truly make it authentic, fiery hot! For most, sticking to their medium‑spice options will let you fully enjoy the complexity of the flavors without overpowering heat.

We stayed at Moon palace and tried Agra’s food several times. It was easy to reserve a seat, service was fast and good. Food tasted amazing. Having an option to eat Indian food in Cancun is great benefit in itself, but this restaurant served some of the amazing vegetarian dishes like Daal, Paneer, kofta and onion bhaji. Naan were crispy and fresh.
Overall, totally recommend this place, I will visit again.

The food overall was amazing, and we really enjoyed everything we tried. The tandoor, naan, and tikka masala were all excellent, but the real highlight was the chicken vindaloo, packed with flavor and perfectly spiced. Some dishes did arrive cold, but our server quickly took care of it and made the necessary changes. The service was outstanding from start to finish.
Just FYI, they’re only open for dinner, and reservations are highly recommended.

This restaurant has done a great job with the interior decor and design of this space. Lots of seating but you need to make reservations and it books up fast. There was a mix up with our reservation but Omar (Manager) truly went above and beyond to turn our experience around and get us a table when the restaurant was fully booked. It was greatly appreciated. Our servers Rafael and Alfredo took care of us with such grace and professionalism. This was by far the best experience we’ve had at our resort restaurants! Will definitely be back!

Wowowowow! Service was fantastic: we didn’t have a reservation and we’re still seated relatively quickly, doors were always held open, and our waiter even ordered my mom and I a vegan dessert that wasn’t on the menu! As for food, order a dish with the coconut chutney, it was such a delicious mix of flavors. Also, loved the warm vibe with views of the ocean !

Food was good, ofcourse one shouldn’t expect food like in india, its cancun. But we really enjoyed and the servers were really good. Its really hard to find a reservation spot at this restaurant, slots open for only today and next 2 days, I kept looking for slots to be open for the following day, not sure when they open all slots, j opened at 7.15am, and found lots of alots opened and glad i reserved one for me.

Good decor! We ordered chicken and fish appetizers, excellent! The Goan fish curry was delicious. Better than the food was the service. Al Fredo served us and what a gentleman! Will highly recommend Agra to anyone who is visiting Moon Palace.

So disappointing. Ordered saffron rice, got plain tasteless rice that had been sitting for awhile. The fish I ordered was burnt to a char, bitter and had an acrid taste, could not even go beyond that point. The garlic bread I ordered never came. Noticed my other party had burnt plain Naan bread. I had to rush back to my hotel about 20 minutes away to have a meal. Go somewhere else to eat. I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Zero star. I should have come here for the reviews first, I would have known to go somewhere else.
