This out of the way restaurant was great. The tamales were very good, best I’ve had in sometime. The barbacoa burrito was good, but the homemade tortillas gave this place the 5*. Your ever in O town give this place a try.

I remember going to this place when I was a kid. I now live in California and this was on my list of places to eat when in town. It’s still the place to for the best tamales in town and excellent service! The ladies at the counter are very sweet. I picked up in the morning and the fresh and hot. Also, I picked up asado and hot homemade tortillas! (Better than the place on 8th in the old Taco Villa building.).

Went and got 4 dozen tamales for the holidays, and was surprised to find that they had oates in their masa!! They’re terrible! We have always used Saucedos, but looks like we will be going to another place for NYE.

I got the combination burritos. The tortilla was really good, tasted homemade. The meat, beans and potatoes were cooked well. They only thing is I thought they used too much pepper in seasoning the meat.

Have been buying tamales here for many many years. Bought some yesterday and they were almost inedible! Flavorless, almost raw with very little meat and something else. Couldn’t decide if it was fat or tiny chopped up potatoes. Very disappointed! The only tamales I ever buy.

My mother is making tamales for the holidays and went today to buy 15lbs of prepared masa for tamales – they charge 2.75lb. The 15lbs came out to 44 bucks! That’s ridiculous. I called La Paz tortilleria and it would’ve been 27.00 for 15lbs. That’s reasonable. This place is out to price gouge and I do not recommended them. For that price they might’ve as well been made. No wonder they went out or business and changed owners a year ago.
