With so much thought having gone into developing the dining area and atmosphere, Agave Cantina is the quintessential spot for relaxing and delightful unregimented fun, even before the food arrives. Agave Cantina is a fusion of culinary traditions that now seems like a natural but was a bold departure when Balbeisi Restaurant Group introduced the concept over a decade ago to the dining public. My boyfriend and I ate here for Valentine’s Day and it was awesome! Our sever was great! They had some kind of music going on outside which I thought was cool even though we chose to sit inside. The management was great as someone who works in a restaurant I was looking around being nosey and noticed how the manager actually about everyone’s experience! He also grabbed us a bag to put our togo boxes in! 10/10 experience!

I was served by the nicest person I have ever met. I had shrimps and beer from the happy hour menu just for $10. My dog had water with ice there’s plenty of seating outside and inside and free parking in front of the restaurant.

In from out of town for softball. Restaurant was near where we were staying. They offer dinning outside or inside. However, inside is a much smaller eating area. Food was good. Wife and daughter ate the chicken Quesadilla and I and I had the “happy fat man.” Food was good, waitress got tied up with another table so was slow on refilling drinks. Would recommend if your in the area to try them out.

My kids and I go here frequently. I can’t say enough about Agave and specifically this location. The game changer was when I started letting the manager, Rick make recommendations for me. He has off menu items that are really good. It seems like everytime I go (once a week) I get something new that’s even better than the last. I strongly recommend this restaurant. Good food, good vibes, and the manager is the best I have ever witnessed. He does not miss a beat and treats me like an old friend when I go there.

The atmosphere was so relaxing and nice on the deck, under umbrellas. We ended up going on a nice fall day. And even if it was hot they have cool air units to keep you comfortable. I got the pesto pasta which exceeded my expectations. I wish I caught the name to our server, but he was amazing too. I can’t wait to go back.

We frequent all of the Agave restaurants around town and this is certainly one of our favorites for patio seating. The staff is always great and their food is equally great. Even on a hot day in South Louisiana the patio isn’t that bad, not to mention they have nice water cooled fans all throughout the outdoor section!

My party of 12 walked in tonight and they were happy to serve us. They let us sit where we wanted, I chose outside for us. The lights and decor of this place is beautiful and the staff was so gracious and friendly. Our server was Valerie and she was amazing. As well as the guy that was helping her, unfortunately I did not catch his name. She got us salsa and chips for starters and as my party trickled in, she began taking our drink orders. Once we all sat, she came around for our food orders. She came out with a pitcher of water for us and set it in the middle of the tables. Cook time was fast and our food was delivered hot. She checked to see if wanted any more drinks from the bar before it was closed. She also offered us desserts before the kitchen closed. I order the brisket tamales with the Mexican flag. (Red salsa, white queso, and green salsa). It’s always a hot or miss when I order tamales that are not homemade. These ones were a hit. The rice ans beans were also delicious. As we finished, she came around with each of checks and we paid. Gratuity is NOT included. And we all work for dave and busters so we made sure that Valerie was taken care of for taking care of us. She was phenomenal. A few of us mentioned that we’re mexican and puerto rican and she told us she was cubana and spoke Spanish with us. It made the experience so much more memorable. We loved the service, the food and the atmosphere. 11/10.

A Tequila Sunrise, sinfully delicious Fried Rabbit on the Half Chip appetizer and Seared Tuna Tacos combined with always professional, courteous service made for a perfect Friday lunch! One of my favorite places in all of Lafayette!
