Went here ordered combination meal asked for shrimp in everything, and told them we had ordered before, and they had charged us $3,99 to each menu item for change.Whixh they told us before making dinner. We were fine with that. Well, they changed the prices, and instead of coming and telling us before making it. They made us one plate, of the order, and then showed us the ticket with the price on it. $66!!!!!!! FOR ONE PLATE!!!!!! It was before we ate any of it. But shouldn’t that have been brought to our attention BEFORE has been made? So, we wwre offered if we didnt want to pay that, they would take it back. We said that we were not going to pay that and then left after unable to order anything else.
So, went in tonight, and they told us to leave because they cost them a meal last time!!!! Well if you had told us the prices BEFORE making food, they that problem would not have happened!!! We have been great customers of theirs, since they opened. But obviously NOT any more. So heed my warning, if you change ANYTHING on the menu, make sure you get prices before for sure ordering. Or save yourself the hassle and go to Jaliscos or Garcias, before ever going here!!!!!!

Agave Grill is just another typical Mexican restaurant for Idaho Falls. There isn’t much difference than the other places. It’s not as authentic as some, but also not as Americanized as others. Not my favorite, but still good. I enjoyed the complementary chips, refried beans, and salsa. The chips were pleasantly warm and the refried beans were great with a little salt. I ordered the three combination plate. I got the cheesy chicken chimichanga. It was great and the addition of cheese inside was a nice touch. I also had the chili relleno. It was a normal tasty chili relleno. I also had a shredded beef burrito. The beef was in a red sauce and was good. Maybe a little salty, but better than no sauce. My wife had the crema de La Pollo. It was extremely flavorful and easily the best tasting dish we tried.

I really like this place. Every dish ordered has been amazing, from the fajitas to the ceviche to the burritos. The live plants all around the restaurant are great. Kudos to the team for maintaining them which keeps the air inside nice and fresh. I also like how the covered porch-like hallway creates a cozy feel and dampens the crowd noise when it’s busy. Order a margarita and thank me later.

I’ve always loved this place, good food and people, but I’ve got to say this last visit was quite disappointing. I understand restaurants are busy during weekends, but that is no excuse to ignore and much less treat guests with disrespect. I’ve been going to this place for years, truly I don’t know what changed.

Waited for 10 minutes to even be acknowledged for a party of 10. A party of 2 came in asking for the wait time and was immediately escorted to a table by a male server. I asked the gentleman if he could sit our party in 2 tables. He rudely said he was too busy to seat us and would not be helping us. Horrible customer service.

There were some negative reviews about salsa and chips not being refilled. We certainly didn’t have that issue. They brought out plenty of chips, salsa, and refried beans. They also brought out a refill, no questions asked. Service was beyond friendly and thoughful. The salsa was superb, as were the chips. Yum! I ordered the Agave Salad with steak. Oh my. I could have that for lunch every day.

Agave grill is just a wonderful place to have a meal. The ambiance is very nice. It is clean, they have nice music, and there are beautiful pieces of artwork and plants everywhere. When you first walk in you’re immediately greeted and sat down with chips and salsa and warm beans. The servers are very friendly and attentive. The food is good and they have quite a variety to choose from. They have a lunch special menu that brings the cost down during the day. It’s very convenient to where I work, and I can always get in and out in plenty of time for lunch. Overall, it’s one of my favorite restaurants in town.
