Nice food. The salad with grilled chicken was excellent, very good portion of chicken and good grilled taste on it congratulations . The Mexican esquites for appetizer was enormous portion like for 2 or 3 people! Amazing. I found pacifico . Environment was also nice, many people laughing and very happy. Thanks for this experience

Coming from central Florida, and having visited Mexico, my standards for Mexican food are high. I love Tex-Mex and I think Agave Grill strikes a solid balance between a relatively authentic experience and a more Americanized experience. Good selection of Mexican beers, and solid salsa/guacamole. Flavors in the meat and rice were somewhat subdued but the service was fantastic. I was impressed with the staff’s effectiveness and flexibility as we waited for the rest of our party.

I’ve given this place a few chances and it always underwhelming in flavor and overly pricey. The chicken adobo tacos had almost no meat on them, basically flavorless and presented on Walmart tortillas for just over 18 dollars. The pasta Perez is a whole mess. The flavors don’t make sense and the dish was filled with large chunks of inedible fat. I’m glad they’ve been able to find their niche in Hartford where flavor goes to die because a place like this couldn’t survive in a town that understands Mexican food.

One of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. The waiter never came to refill the water when it was literally dead. It was just us and they never came to check on us or anything. They also didn’t bring out our appetizers, somehow they even got that wrong with us being the only two in the restaurant… The only reason I’m not giving this one star is because the food is pretty good. But don’t come here expecting good service.
