The setting and the service are exceptional and then the FOOD! Never disappoints. I will say my family likes things spicy and it doesn’t sit well with me so when order, I remind them I am weak and they are very sweet to accommodate. It is a family favorite for lunch, dinner, date night, or family meals.

The food was really good. The service was really bad and there was a table that had 6-8 people at it that were loud and obnoxious. We were visiting my girlfriends dad and he has hearing aids. They were drinking and being so loud that his ears just kept buzzing and he couldn’t hear anything we were saying or talking about through the whole lunch time. Also there was 6 people in our party and they charged us a 20% tip automatically which we could not take off of the bill for a tip. Ridiculous, plus it took an hour to get out food. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!!!

Decent for Mexican food in Wyoming. It wasn’t bad but it definitely wasn’t like, “Wow! This is the best.” Being from SoCal, it’s honestly hard to compare Mexican food in other places—nothing is ever as flavorful or as fresh. I got the combination platter with picadillo (shredded beef) enchilada, pork tamal, and chile relleno. It also came with rice and beans. Like I said, it was decent. My husband got the pork chile verde. Normally we’re used to shredded pork in chile verde but this was more like a pork chop cut up into bite size chunks. He wasn’t totally stoked on the sauce and felt it lacked flavor and needed a lot of salt. Service was also just average. The waitress wasn’t really friendly but she wasn’t NOT friendly either…she was kind of just going through the motions to push people in and out, and get through the day. I will say the prices were reasonable. We got two entrees and two beverages (non-alcoholic) for $50 and that was with tip.

Excellent Mexican cuisine in Afton, WY. Surprisingly good food with a top notch decor. Very comfortable dining room that is a notch above most Mexican restaurants. Food is seriously good and cooked to order. Many families but all age groups dining here. Highly recommended. Salsa good, cabbage/pepper salad very good.

I highly recommend Agave. It’s an amazing Family Mexican restaurant located in the small town on Main Street in Afton Wyoming. The restaurant is always busy but the staff is very friendly and get you right to your table. They always welcome you with fresh chips and salsa while you wait for your food. All the food is very good and the prices are affordable for the area.

We have been coming here for 15 years, it just keeps getting better. It is our favorite Mexican restaurant outside of Mexico. The staff works hard and the service is great. Get the Agave Special or the Mole enchilada!
