First of all, the service was good so that was not the problem.
The food however, was an issue. I got the carne asada and asked for medium. What I received was a very well done and tough to eat carne asada. As you can see by the pictures, a big portion of it was just fat and gristle (on the plate). The rest was very tough and chewy. I’m not expecting a steakhouse cut, but it definitely seems that they used a very low quality piece of beef here. Yes, I finished it because I did not want to waste it but it was not good. Please do better.

When it comes to Mexican food Im very picky. I usually don’t write reviews but I just had to for this restaurant. I have tried other Mexican restaurants in gulf shores and Orange Beach and Let me just say the food here was delicious. Everything had flavor. I will definitely come back here again. I had the combo chicken and beef fajitas taco with rice and beans.

Agave offers an authentic environment. The service was friendly, very prompt. We were seated right away and the food came in fast. We ordered Mexican street tacos and Bistec a La Mexicana. The food was fresh and tasted good. The menu offers plenty of options and prices are very reasonable. The size of meals is generous too. I’d eat here again.

My husband and I went to Agave in Gulf Shores, AL for a date. We were promptly greeted by the hostess. Once seated, our waiter arrived to take our drink and appetizer order. This was our first time visiting this restaurant, so it took us a little while to figure out what we wanted. While the waiter did walk by a couple of times, he did not repeatedly ask if we were ready to order. This was a big plus in my book. All food was delivered quickly and was very clearly freshly prepared. We had the Fajitas Locas with soft corn tortillas. They were delicious, and the prices were reasonable. We will gladly return for our next date!

After sitting in a restaurant without any service, we ventured on over to Agave and we are super glad we did. Great service and very good, straightforward Mexican food. Even though the wife went with a burger and fries, we both really liked the chips & salsa. My plate was on point for what I expect out of a typical Mexican food place. Very tasty, good portion size and a good deal!

Hands down the best margaritas we’ve ever had—perfectly balanced, refreshing, and absolutely delicious! Lauro was our amazing waiter—so much fun, full of great energy, and made our night extra special. He even fancied up our drinks with adorable little ducks! Great vibes, incredible service, and cocktails that are chef’s kiss. We’ll definitely be back!

My daughter and I drove down from Foley to grab a burger at the restaurant across rhe street from AGAVE…but they were closed. We decided to try AGAVE Bar & Grill. Beautiful paintings, lighting and decor. Fast service, clean, sweet staff and delicious food! We will definitely return!
