Even though I missed the before picture, the food definitely delivered. The grilled chimichanga with onions and tomatoes was served hot and packed with flavor, and the rice was delicious. The atmosphere was comfortable and welcoming, perfect for conversation. I was there with my kids, and we all had a great time. Definitely a spot I’d recommend.

Everyone agreed the food was fine but nothing stellar.
I got the Bandera Burrito which was about 99% rice. It was huge but I’d have preferred smaller with meat. I did fine three shrimp in all the rice and a bit of chorizo.
Margaritas were huge also but tasted like a mix. I’d pass on them.

I apologize for the half eaten food but we were hungry. The food was flavorful, and delicious. The music was low enough to enjoy and converse. The horchata was very yum!

Okay, Foodie Fam, listen up! Agave Bar & Grill is not just a restaurant; it’s a fiesta for your taste buds! First of all, the decor is so vibrant and Instagrammable, you’ll be snapping pics before you even see the menu. The neon signs are practically begging for a selfie! But let’s talk about the food. The queso? Forget about it! So good, I almost licked the bowl clean. (Don’t judge me. ) The taco salad was equally amazing, packed with flavor and made with love. And the margaritas? Let’s just say they made me want to salsa the night away! If you’re looking for a fun, flavorful, and photo-worthy dining experience, Agave Bar & Grill is the place to be. Just be prepared to fight the urge to wear a sombrero and mariachi suit. (I almost did. ) #FoodieLyfeTours #AgaveGrill #ColumbusGA #MexicanFood #QuesoObsessed #MargaritaMadness

I didn’t actually go in, so, I don’t know how that is, but I was downtown at the concert series and has the food! The tacos were great and the elote was amazing. The seasoning was so done so well. I wasn’t crazy for the house margarita, but it was okay.

As i walked in I loved the atmosphere. The waitress was friendly. I had the dragon fruit margarita which was awesome. The blackberry had a after taste that I didn’t care for. Salsa was overly spicy. The Molcajete was very colorful and plentiful. Chicken was good,I didn’t like care for that cut of steak. The green onions, and cactus I didnt eat. Shrimp was decent. It was very greasy at the bottom as well.

We went to this Mexican restaurant for some drinks and food. We ordered some pitchers of agave margaritas and it was amazing. As for the food we had chips and salsa and all the street tacos. The tacos were a hit. But most of all are server Joseph was amazing. This is great Mexican restaurant to go to if your wanting a great Mexican food experience.

The restaurant has very cool, fun decor and is clean. (The hostess cleaned tables and swept the floors the whole time we were there, which was nice to see)

The hostess was very nice and our server was attentive, professional, and friendly.

We were there for a late/2pm lunch on a weekday. Two other tables had just been sat/hadn’t ordered when we were seated (one two-top and one with six adults and two children) and there were two other couples finishing their meals/paying their checks. We ordered at around 2:05, after the two other tables mentioned above, and did not receive our food until around 2:45 = it took 40 minutes to make two entrees. Our server updated us about 30 minutes into our wait, stating the kitchen got backed up by the “large party” (of six adults and two kids). After we received our food, the manager came by to apologize stating the same “large party” backing up the kitchen. My issue is that if a table of six adults and two children can back up the kitchen causing food for two people to take 40 minutes at 2pm on a weekday, I can’t imagine how long the wait would be during a lunch rush. There were plenty of servers on duty, so I’m assuming the kitchen was well-staffed too…?

The meal was fine; not the best Mexican food in Columbus. The atmosphere and number of items on the menu make Agave an attractive option, especially if you live downtown/uptown. The food wasn’t good enough to warrant a second trip for us, given the lengthy wait for our order, but I wouldn’t necessarily discourage anyone from checking it out. It’s a new restaurant with kinks to work out, so hopefully others will have a better experience.
