In the short time they have been open. I have been there three times and have been happy with the food, staff, and service.
On my first visit, I had enchiladas and my grandson had what he only described as the best burrito he’s ever eaten. When I came back, I had the burrito and he was right! I was just there again yesterday and had the chicken tortilla soup which was good too. Aguave quickly became my favorite Mexican restaurant in Hartford.

This restaurant is very nice! My meal was fantastic! The skinny Mojito was just the way I like it. The Owner Ricardo and the rest of the staff were very friendly and attentive. This was my first visit but it will definitely not be my last. I wish them well and I hope that we welcome them and as a community show them some grace as they settle in.

The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff were very attentive and kind. The dining area was very clean. I’m impressed by how much meat/food you get for the price! I enjoyed the Hartford Burrito it was fun.

Amazing! Our server Ishmael did a great job! We had tamales and fish tacos. Both were great! This place just opened in January and is, as Guy Fieri would say, “on its way to being a Flavortown Classic!”

Services was awful! Salsa taste like ketchup! We were ignored while other customer seated after us got their drinks and order taken before we even had someone come and talk to is! When our waiter finally came and took our order we ask for some hotter salsa. He brought us our sour cream and never came back with the hot salsa. Again other customers ask for hot salsa after is and it was brought out to them right away! We just finally left when we notice other customers were being taken care of and our waiter was no where to be found! No one check on us for over 15min! Went to Polancos in Slinger much better service and food! They were not busy too which makes this worst for them! We will be telling friends and family not to waste their time! Just awful all around!

This place is a night and day difference from Casa Tequila. Everything was absolutely perfect, great margaritas, the salsa that comes with the chips will be the best you’ve ever had, and the serving sizes per entree are great! We will certainly be back. Finally a good Mexican restaurant in Hartford!!

My daughter & I were there yesterday (Friday) The food was excellent, the service was excellent the waiter were had kept asking if everything was good & even the owner asked us 3 times. Even the drink I had was good (loved the glass) most definitely going back. We went at a good time by the time we left it was packed..

Food took forever to come out. Not overly busy for 6pm on a Friday. Guy was good at checking on us, but not having food we couldn’t really give him an answer lol. Our food came out after 45 minutes after ordered, but out son’s meal didn’t come out for another 20 minutes, and he only ordered a burrito. We had to ask twice where it was. Couple next to us ordered before us and their food (normal menu items) came out 15 minutes after ours. Food was ok, expected better from reviews we read. Ground beef was super salty possibly taking away from good food experience.

the waiters asked us if we wanted a shot, and we agreed. when it came time to the bill we were charged $10 per shot, and they charged us for their shots. we got 2 tacos each and a medium margarita and our bill was over a $130x. great service up to the point trust make us pay for their shots when it was their idea. may not be coming back.
