Our dining experience at Agave Avon combines traditional Mexican flavors and our own unique ingredients of that creates a menu unlike any other in The Valley. Our menu covers a wide spectrum of flavors and is prepared fresh daily, including our home made flour tortillas being prepared upon entry. We saw “Taco Tuesday” and couldn’t resist. Delicious margaritas, friendly staff (Grecia), soft homemade tortillas, good smokey queso, cozy decor, but the chicken elote taco special was incredible! Did I mention the margaritas on the rocks?!?!

The kids had a fantastic time. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the atmosphere was amazing. It looks like they offer live music during the peak season, but since we visited late at night and during the off-season, it wasn’t too crowded. The place was beautifully decorated for Halloween. The food overall was great, though the vegetarian dish could have used a bit more flavor.

The food came out quickly, the flavors were spectacular, and the service was excellent. Trevor, our waiter, recommended the best dishes and cocktails—and every single one was spot on. We trusted all of his suggestions and were so glad we did. He even boxed our leftovers perfectly. Fantastic experience all around.

Warm service, generous portions, and delicious flavors. A gem in the mountains serving authentic dishes. I would come back just for the homemade tortillas. They got our group of 10 in without trouble and we all left full and happy. The pic doesn’t do the size of the marg justice

The restaurant itself is charming and welcoming, and the food is truly outstanding—full of rich, authentic flavors. However, the kids’ menu is a bit limited, and the drinks didn’t quite meet expectations.
We waited nearly 30 minutes for our food, which felt too long for a restaurant that wasn’t even full. It was clear they were short-staffed. That said, the flavors were excellent and made the wait worthwhile.

I had been to agave previously, and I felt the food was good then. This visit however, we were disappointed. The food was barely warm enough, the taste wasn’t bad, but not as good as previously. The service was subpar. We were there between lunch and dinner, so perhaps that affected the service and food taste.

Very cool bar and exceptional service especially from Mark (aka: “Mike” ), the main bartender. Lots of great tequilas, other liquors too, great Mexican beers and others, delicious carefully-prepared food, excellent service, fantastic music, fun atmosphere. Two stories, two bars, outdoor patio, broad menu, cool people, fun patrons, great place! Oh my, and homemade flour tortillas made from scratch! I happen to be from the Mexican border, and I’ve spent many years of my life in Mexico, and I’ll tell you what, Agave’s food IS authentic! The kitchen staff is great, and those preparing the food are proud ambassadors of Mexico; therefore, the authenticity is most definitely there.. Agave rocks. Hands-down the best Mexican food and tequila bar in Avon, and it’s a killer music venue too! Multiple levels, “House of Blues feel”.. Really cool place.

Had a great early dinner here and sat at the bar. The fresh tortillas and salsa were amazing as was the green chili. The service was great – one of our best meals during a full week in the Avon – Vail area!
