This restaurant made my fiancé’s proposal the perfect level of romance he was looking for.
Drinks: Vieni Pinot Noir | AG Cosmo (from old menu)
Appetizer with Taste Order: Carpaccio of Beef Tenderloin | Maple Hot Smoked Salmon Candy | Chili Charred Octopus
Mains: Confit Duck Leg | Pistachio and Hemp Lake Trout
Dessert: Andrew’s Hand Made Gelato (Today: Sea Salt Toffee) | Maple Rosemary Crème Brûlée
Drinks are personal preference but match with the duck and fish and almost every dishes. Beef Tenderloin is melting soft with very fine salt spices. Salmon Candy matches the deep and complex sauce and the pan fried shredded potato. Octopus is the best out of the 3, ultra soft with a touch but strong barbecue flavor and unique sauce that I cannot describe. Lake Trout is similar to salmon but the chef fully cooked it but also wonderful soft texture! Duck Leg is the best I can taste so far, the fat, the golden burn edge and the pulled-off soft meat combined into a mouthful satisfaction. Gelato is my first experience of melt to throat smoothies.
Maple Rosemary Crème Brûlée is the best I ever had and it must be the right way to be. When you smash the sugar glaze, it perfectly be into small pieces and it blends in each spoonful cream, ultimately treat!
Servers here are professional and super friendly! They introduce the concept of the restaurant and explain each dishes when they serve on the table. It matches the 3 stars restaurant standards since they notice every detail, offering sharing plates, fill up of water automatically, ask between dishes and come by almost exactly 20 mins to see if we needed anything. Giving a great space, time, and respect to us make it an unforgettable night on our anniversary! specifically thanks to our server Melanie, she is a amazing!
Also a plus, if you’re an office fan, you must try the berries, beets, and battlestar galactica cocktail. Such a treat! Will definitely recommend to all my friends and family and will be back!
My wife and I stayed at the Inn ( Separate review) and I decided to eat at AG.
The ambiance in the restaurant is wonderful. Nice music playing against wonderful decor relaxes you and sets the table for what is nothing short of an exceptional meal inspired by Chef Cory.
I was welcomed by Erika my Waitress that was more than a waitress. She knew the menu well and recommended the Octopus and the Lamb with a bottle of wonderful Amarone wine. Erika was not rushed and was professionally efficient.
I have to say that Cory knows you eat with your eyes first, smell second and taste last. The Octopus dish was stunning in its presentation with immaculate detail to all the delicious bits on the plate. Wow. So good. The Lamb was no less impactful in presentation and succulence.
All in all a wonderful experience. Erika was a star. The meal was outstanding. Highly recommended for a special occasion, date night or just to treat yourself as you step away from over processed industrial prepared foods that come in Sous Vide bags. Restaurant filled up later .. so make a reservation..
Breakfast served in our room and we loved the number 3 Instruction for the Coffee Press.
Enjoy the freshness that AG and Cory bring.
John and Sandi from Port Perry
We started with the Winter Squash Bisque, which was incredibly smooth and creamy with just the right touch of autumn spices—comforting and elegant all at once. We also tried the Roasted Autumn Beets and the Maple Hot Smoked Salmon, both of which were absolutely amazing. The flavors were vibrant, balanced, and beautifully presented.
For our mains, we enjoyed the “AG” Rubbed Steak and the Maple Whiskey Glazed Pork. Every dish showcased a perfect harmony of sweet and savoury elements, something AG Cuisine clearly excels at. The quality, creativity, and execution were consistent across the entire meal.
Chef Cory is undeniably a master of his craft. His attention to detail and passion for locally inspired cuisine shines through in every plate.
Highly recommended—AG Cuisine is a true gem in Niagara Falls, and we can’t wait to return.
For appetizers, I had the Simple Fall Greens Salad and Chili Charred Octopus. The dressing was so refreshing and appetizing. For entrees, I ordered the Tenderloin of Beef and the AAA Flank Steak, both of which were delicious. The waitress was also very friendly, and I had a wonderful time. This is definitely a place I’d like to visit again when I visit Niagara Falls.
Chef Cory brings years of experience and passion to the kitchen, and it shows. He’s doing an amazing job creating flavourful, seasonal dishes that impress every time, with produce from their own farm. The service is always friendly and professional.
AG is a true gem in Niagara, one of those places you always look forward to returning to.
