There’s not many West African restaurants where I live on the west coast, so decided to try take out from here during a layover in Indianapolis. This was my first time ever trying West African cuisine, and it felt like unearthing a treasure chest . I’m in love with the bold spices (scotch bonnet?) and bases (hints of an umami seafood-y base?) in the stew (it was unexpectedly spicy and oily for me as a first timer but I love it all the same!). I got the pounded yam (iyan) with okra stew (okro/alasepo) with beef and goat. Was really eager to try the texture of the iyan, and it’s perfectly soft but stretchy. Now hoping I can find similar restaurants back home where I live . It’s a really unique flavor for me.

I went today at the recommendation of a Nigerian man I met. First time eating Nigerian food, I loved it! The other customers were chatting with me and making suggestions, the employees were friendly and patient with me not knowing exactly how to order. The food was delicious. We got there right at 11 and it seems best to arrive a touch later as the food really started all rolling out around 12.
Had a blast can’t wait to go again.

Nothing beats walking to a place and seeing your people the food is amazing and the owner is a character.. super funny and witty. I came in hungry and she had few choice meals made for. Ofada rice and turkey to start and then pounded yam and draw soup! Amazing and I left with some drinks from the motherland. Place is busy so you might have to wait a few minutes to be served. Just go to enjoy yourself and you will be pleased.

The food here was amazing!!! I was looking for a decent Nigerian restaurant in Indy apart from the other ones with terrible reviews and bad customer service , so I decided to give this place a try due to the good, however limited reviews on google. And yes! Trust the reviews!!! This place is only about a year old, that’s why there’re aren’t many feedbacks but the existing feedbacks have been good, so I decided to drop mine and hopefully get someone else to try this place out. To the management/owner: I sincerely hope you keep this energy and continue to provide high quality food and services to anyone who walks though your door. Enjoy the pictures below, just like I totally enjoyed my dine-in experience. Also Pls update your menu for first time customers and on the receipt should be individual items and their price listed. Lack of Transparency is bad for business. But for now, it’s a 5 star review for this visit. Bon appetit

I have been looking for a Nigerian food spot in
Indy for the LONGEST time and unfortunately, the previous places I tried were terrible.

But look no more. This place is 100% my new go to spot!

Service was great, restaurant was very clean. The lady that assisted me was very sweet and even went through the menu with me.

Food itself? Amazing! I ordered a Jollof rice plate with plantain and turkey wings.

This plate was a 10/10!!!!!!!!!

Jollof Rice was flavorful and not too salty

Plantain was RIPE and sweet!!!!

Turkey was Smokey and Tender!!

Also got a side of ASUN , also which was also very good!

Omg I’ve been looking for a place that has really good egusi soup & fufu and I found it I tried Jollof Buki, I didn’t like it. But this will def be my go to. I ordered the soup with chicken and I was so pleased. Def going back and this will be my go to. Price was amazing to! Btw I didn’t use the fork at all lol that was originally there to pull apart the chicken I just used my hands

Update: they overcharged me a few times the men. There was a lady I’m assuming the boss corrected my order one time. Other times were scetchy price wise.

Very good food and superb service with limited staff. The space can do with better cleanliness though.

Absolutely horrible delivery experience. They called us AFTER the food delivery time to ask what they could substitute. Over an hour after ordering they still hadn’t completed the food. Then someone that worked there called to argue with us when we cancelled the order when it was over 75 minutes since we placed the order and they weren’t ready to give it to the delivery driver. We literally sought out a West African restaurant to try and their dismal service ruined our dinner. Shameful.

WRONG FOOD DELIVERED!! PLEASE READ!!!
I ordered ogbono and amala today via DoorDash, but instead received a mixture of ogbono and okra. I immediately called the restaurant to report the issue and ask for a resolution. Unfortunately, the woman who answered was dismissive, refused to take responsibility, and kept raising her voice. She insisted I return the food and said there was nothing she could do, despite me explaining multiple times that I ordered through DoorDash. Not the way to treat a returning customer, especially one spending over $50 per meal. Had to contact DoorDash with evidence to resolve this, food was thrashed.

Also, I’ve been a regular customer since 2023, both dine-in and takeout. While I haven’t dined in recently, I occasionally order via DoorDash. One consistent issue I’ve noticed in my past 3–4 orders is that the protein (fish, beef, tripe, etc.) is always cold. It seems like they pull it straight from the fridge and just drop it into warm soup. I’ve had to reheat my food midway through eating more than once. Not nice
