I went with my sister As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is so warm and welcoming. Our waiter was very nice and fast. Our appetizer was the Beef Samosas which were flavorful and crispy. Our two entrees were the Red Snapper medium and (what I was so excited to try) the Egusi soup and fufu. When I tell you this place did not disappoint, it did not. Will be coming back time and time again, will highly recommend. Thank you Africana for letting me experience your food and atmosphere!

Honestly, the best meal I’ve had in St. Louis! We ordered the Egusi with Oxtail(spicy level-spicy) along with Fufu. So full of flavor and the perfect amount of spice. We also ordered Beef Samosa which was crispy and full of warm spices. We finished with the Whole Red Snapper. Perfectly cooked with crispy skin and an amazing sauce with indigenous African spices. 10 out 10 would highly recommend!

Wow, what a lovely experience! My daughter and I went and I had the Egusi soup and fufu. It was so flavorful and delicious! Neither one of us could finish our food, so we’ll have some yummy leftovers. Everyone was super nice and the decor is beautiful.

We happened upon this place during an outing to The Loop and were impressed from start to finish. The interior decor is deliberate and aesthetic, while also being cozy and comfortable. We had never really experienced African cuisine and might have been overwhelmed, but Prince took the time to explain the menu and even give us samples to try before ordering. We had the Egusi, deviled egg, and samosas. It was honestly some of the best food I’ve ever had. Very fresh and flavorful, perfect comfort food for a rainy day. We also had cocktails (French 75) that were delicious and beautifully presented. Prices were very reasonable. The staff were all so welcoming and kind. Just an overall fantastic experience, we will be back!

I’d rather put up with Larry over at the African Palace.
I don’t know if it was because it was a door dash order but that should not even matter!
The fu fu was yellow and gummy
The boiled egg was cooked too long it was green in the inside
And the fish was cooked too hard. Egusi was supposed to be hot flavored but it was not! I ended up ordering a seafood boil bag from somewhere else . Thanks but no thanks.

Food was excellent. I had fufu & egusi for the first time & it was very flavorful & tender. I got mine with chicken & it paired very well with the okra in the egusi. Mary Jo was very informative with how to eat it as I was a first timer & even came with a handwashing bowl. My girlfriends joloff rice was very fluffy, flavorful, & the beans were on point. Next time we’re in the area we will be back!!

Great atmosphere and polite staff. I decided to order the oxtail with Waakye Rice and Fried Plantain. My food was very flavorful however unfortunately the oxtail was extremely fatty and tough, I could not cut through the meat at all, and ended up not eating it ;-( . We will come back again and try something different. The music last night was a great vibe.
