I’d give this zero stars if I could!! I got 3 meals yesterday and one was Ogbono Stew. It was not fresh. It smelled like vomit and tasted horrible. The meats in the other foods (Okra stew & Eru stew) weren’t fresh either. All the meats were hard, like frozen and then reheated in a microwave. I was looking forward to enjoying these meals and they were disappointing. My husband’s coworker came home with him when I told what I’d purchased. Brian is from Nigeria and was looking forward to trying this. He said none of it was cooked that day and the Obgono was spoiled by either the seeds or the time frame from which it was originally cooked. I spent $75 for that food and still had to spend money for everyone to eat. I’m highly disappointed that customers aren’t treated more respectfully with fresh food!

The jeloff rice and snapper is so good. She makes it super spicy for me. She is a very sweet person.

I was so excited because this place was so close to me but sadly disappointed. This was the first cassava leaf I ordered that didn’t put the rice and cassava sauce separate to give the customers more. The price was also doubled almost $30 & the taste was 2/10. The best part about this place is the welcoming energy. Besides that I wouldn’t go back. I’ll rather travel to Philly for mine.

I order from this restaurant regularly. I love how everything is made to order. MS. Fola is so helpful with describing the dishes so that I can make informed decisions about what I want to try next. The food is consistently good quality and yet never boring. Just like home made. The owner and staff are super sweet. I go here and I feel like I am having a visit with my aunties. This food is truly a gift from the ancestors. I used to cook African food at home, now I go here. Lol I hope folks will go support African Fusion. Thank you for such good experiences.

I ordered Egusi Stew with Beef and Fufu for $19.99 on a Sunday. This was my first time trying and first time going to this restaurant. Upon getting my food home, as I sat down to eat, I noticed that I was given CHICKEN instead of beef. I called, and after the second call, I recieved an answer. I explained what I ordered and how I received the wrong meat. The lady said they ran out of beef but that I could come back on Thursday, when they open back up, and she will give me four pieces of beef. I asked if I should bring the food back as well which she said no to. I didn’t think she really meant she was only going to give me the beef. With hesitation, I went back on Thursday all to ONLY receive 4 pieces of beef (which were mostly dry and tough, I.e., overcooked when I cut through them)… NO Egusi and no Fufu.

My experience was horrible the 4 pieces of goat meat was very tough and the jolly rice had a sour taste overpowering with tomatoe paste. It’s not worth the price at all, need to do better. The price is to expensive to be counting the meat like we are being served in a shelter.

Fantastic experience! Very warm atmosphere, tasty food, and helpful staff. Being Nigerian myself it reminded me very much of the cooking in my own home. 10/10!

Every time I go here for my monthly Goat egusi stew and fufu I am never disappointed. The beef and chicken is amazing too but I go for the goat. The service is always amazing. I’m surprised not a lot of people know about this place. If you need something new to try in the dover area. Tell them Justin sent you. Give it a shot!
