A nice place tucked in a corner! The owner and the staff are very nice and would help you answer any question about the food and about afghani cuisine . A green tea with cardamom and bowl of chicken soup are offered complimentary… we had some chicken curry with bread and peshawaai chaplee kabob served on Salad was nice with some green and white sauce pairing !!

The cost-to-food ratio is not here, unfortunately. I picked up the lamb kabob. I thought the seasoning on the lamb kabob was weak, and the meat was dry and tough. I thought the rest of the side of the chickpeas were spilled in the bag, but I was wrong. It’s the smallest side of chickpeas I’ve ever seen. The salad was decent. The amount of rice was well below average as well. I feel I was overcharged for the small amount of food I received.

It is a casual dining place. The food was good and the server was very pleasant. We went there right after they opened and it wasn’t busy and everything came to our table very promptly.

Afghan Kabob serves very tasty food. I enjoyed the kabob, bread, rice, chick peas and salad. It was a lot of food and enough to share with my wife. This place I would definitely go back to.

Randomly stopped by and was pleasantly surprised. This place is spacious and very clean. The server was super friendly. But, on to the most important thing, the food.

We arrived for dinner around 5:30. Dining room was empty. But soon filled up. In the beginning, you have a choice of salad or soup to sy as rt. We started with the sambosay Kochaloo (fried pastry with potato, onions, and herbs) for an appetizer. Very delicious. Comes with two sauces a white and a green. The green has a little spice. It was delicious. For the main course, we had the Shami platter. Comes with two kabobs, some red onion, and a nice piece of naan. Also ordered Bouranee Baunjaun (fried eggplant). The eggplant was amazing. The entire meal was amazing. Reasonable prices for delicious food. We also had the rice dish with carrots and raisins.

Worst afghan restaurant I ate at in my life. Ants in salad, excessive oil, uncooked lamb, excessively oily beef kabob. I have a food service background and I KNOW FOR A FACT. everything is precooked and heated in oil and then served. The bread was from the store next door most likely and toasted. Anyone who knows anything about food would know to avoid this place. It wasn’t even worth me mentioning. Horrible, terrible, and avoid at all costs. There are much better afghan food options in Springfield Virginia.
