I love this place! We order from here at least 2-3 times a month! It’s basically replaced pizza as our go to take out!
I love the chicken kabob platter, the chicken is always super juicy and the spices are delicious! And the white sauce over the chicken and rice is so good! The portion is huge too!
If you’re feeling less adventurous but still want something delicious definitely get the chicken tenders! They are huge! More like cutlet size! And the breading is very well seasoned and the meat is always super juicy! You can definitely tell these aren’t your standard frozen restaurant depot tenders, these are the real deal. My boyfriend and I can split the 6 piece that comes with fries and both be full!
The staff is super awesome too. We usually call and order and go pick it up. One time we ordered chicken tenders but got nuggets instead and they were more than happy to correct the order without any fuss.
Highly recommend this place! I have yet to try the rest of the menu because the chicken is just so amazing!

Extremely good value for the food. I think this might be the only restaurant in New Jersey that isn’t price gouging their customers and has kept the price of their dishes on par with reality. I was impressed by the quality and taste of the food and I’ll definitely be back.

Wonderful restaurant for both formal and casual eats. The decor is superb and authentic. The staff are professional and very friendly. There is plenty of seating for large groups. It’s also part of a larger complex with plenty of parking. Their food is freshly made and their grill is visibly clean. It’s delicious! I highly recommend Afghan Kabob and Grill.

Mediterranean and Tikka kebobs were really good and flavorful. Their bread and chutneys also hit it out of the Park. Definitely must try. They charge gratuity for bigger groups and extra charge for credit card transactions.

Hidden Gem: A Taste of Afghanistan
Don’t miss this beautiful, spacious restaurant with traditional Afghan decor. The owner, Brother Usman, is a generous host and a wonderful cook who serves up huge portions. You’ll enjoy the delicious kebab, rice, and french fries. They also have clean bathrooms, a dedicated prayer space, and even serve Salaam Cola from Turkey—a brand that donates a portion of its profits to charity.
Support this wonderful restaurant!

Had to stop in the middle of eating and write a review because the food was great. We had the chicken kabob and the afghan cheese burger with fries and a green tea. The chicken was well cooked, soft and had a lot of flavor. The burger was done perfectly and the fries were very crispy, definitely will come back.

My friend and I had an amazing meal the other day at Afghan Kabob and Grill! It was my first time trying Afghani/Pakistani food and everything was delicious! Usman was very hospitable and kind and did a great job explaining the menu to us. We tried a bunch of appetizers including bolani kachalou, reshmi kebab, chicken samosa, loaded fries with beef and chicken, and pita with hummus and babaganoush. I have to say, the hummus was what really blew me away – how could something so simple be so delicious? We tried the cheeseburger and rice pilaf with assorted meats like lamb, chicken, beef and shrimp. The meats were all tender and seasoned well. I also really loved the mango lassi drink, it was thick, sweet and refreshing, perfect on a summer day. We finished off with familiar desserts like baklava which I’ve had before. Then we tried for the first time the gulab jamun, which was fried dough with sugar syrup flavored with rose water, as well as rasmalai, which was a dessert soaked in a rich milk and flavored with cardimon and nuts. It was really great to try so many new foods and experience a bit of the culture. I highly recommend this restaurant when in the North Brunswick area!
