Very small and popular place. Every seat was taken and they were already telling people they were booked for the night at 5pm on a regular, cold winter weekend. Reservations are a must. Food is excellent, service is good. Tell them about your food allergies early – they will tell you if they can accommodate. Parking can get tight considering how popular the restaurant is. Can do takeout.

It had been a while since we ate at Afghan Bistro, so I suggested a small group of us meet for lunch there.
We arrived just after the restaurant opened, so it was quite empty, but it filled up rapidly as the afternoon wore on. It is obviously a popular place.
We had a very pleasant and efficient server. She answered our questions and did a good job while we were there. My friends ordered the Sabzi Chalou and Chicken Breast Kebob, while I got the Lamb Chops. The chops came with rice with carrots and raisins and a side of Eggplant. Overall a delicious dish. The food was fresh and tasty.
After lunch, we ordered some cardamom tea. I enjoyed the tea as it was light and fragrant.
We were all happy with our meal and would definitely eat there again.

The food is great! Every thing we had here was so good! The lamb was the most tender we’ve ever had and the flavors in the carrots and eggplants complimented the lamb perfectly.

The food and service was a 10/10! I got the lamb shank which was so delicious, the meat just fell right out, I ordered the cardamom tea with the Cardamom Milk Cake and it was the best cake I’ve had in a while! Literally so happy I came across this hidden gem. It’s a very small restaurant so I wouldn’t come with a large group.

Well, the service really needs to be improved as they got our order wrong twice! I had ordered the mantu appetiser but they delivered the quroti instead. :/ Then, we got the qabuli pulao and the lamb shank sabzi moghuli for entrees. Imo, the food tasted okay, nothing to rave about nor was it justifiable for the price. The spices were too overpowering for the lamb shank and it was drowning in gravy which I personally didn’t like the taste of. For desserts, we ordered the firni but they delivered baklava to our table and finally, we had to tell them that they had gotten our order wrong again. :/ The server brought out the firni which was again passably okay — didn’t taste good. Tbh, it was a very forgettable dining experience.

What a wonderful little restaurant. This was our first time eating here. Our waiter, Jacob, was very helpful explaining the menu and making recommendations on what dishes were popular. The food was very, very, good. We ordered the appetizer sampler and then shared two entrees, a lamb shank and a chicken & greens stew. They were a nice compliment to each other. Can’t wait to go back

Advertised as Halal, but they serve alcohol. They also play haram music in the background, and they have weird pictures up on the wall. Don’t come here if you are Muslim.

Amazing spot! We came for my sister-in-law’s birthday and were blown away. The food is outstanding—everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, and the sauces were incredible. You can really taste the quality and care in every dish.
Service was good, just a bit overwhelmed because the place was packed. Definitely make a reservation if you’re going on a weekend.
Overall, a wonderful experience with fantastic food. We’ll absolutely be adding Afghan Bistro to our regular delivery options. Highly recommend!

Excellent food and service. I had the lamb kebab with rice and the best cooked carrots and raisins I have ever had. The lamb was equally delicious. For dessert I was recommended the cardamon cake. Think Les trenches with cardamom… Absolutely wonderful! Cannot recommend this place enough!

We found this place on a whim and had an absolutely lovely meal. We got the Aushak dumplings (vegetarian option) and one of the eggplant dishes and they were both delicious. We also got an assortment of breads and sauces that were lovely as well. Highly recommend!
