Quaint little coffee shop inside of a fabulous bookstore which I look forward to perusing after my coffee and world’s greatest sugar donut. For those looking for a coffee shop to sit and get a few hours of work done, probably not the most ideal for that, but by no means impacts the overall desirability. Lovely service from the ladies as well.

The server was obviously upset that she had to put her cell phone down and wait on a customer! What I ordered: Mocha latte with half the syrup, what I got was a coffee with chocolate syrup. A lot of syrup on the ottom of the cup. Could not remember the muffin I ordered seconds earlier. Not a good experience. But the server did get right back to her phone quickly!

I love tucking in here for a latte. The Bengal is the crown prince of breakfast sandwiches that I have had, highly recommended. It’s a tiny space with some nice outdoor seating. The staff is great and likes to get to know the regulars.

Seriously good breakfast burrito. If you’re a light eater this is a two person option. For me this left me feeling like I actually ate something.
The inside cafe feels cramped but there’s outside seating in warm weather. Personally I would remove a table or two (inside) and create a feeling of more open space. Realistically do people actually want to sit that close to each other in a cluttered space?

Hands down, the “Breakfast Slider” is the best breakfast sammy in town. Garlic butter, homemade English muffin, you cannot go wrong!

A cozy spot to sit with a friend or alone with your journal or to get some work done. Delicious coffee and pastries and sandwiches too! Friendly staff make you feel right at home. The bookshop that shares the building is lovely as well.

My go-to breakfast place in Peterborough. I was worried when the place changed hands a few years back and long-cherished customs disappeared, but they’ve forged new ones, and I’m as fond as ever. The coffee is as good or better as it ever was. And they do great things with a bagel.

The veggie breakfast sandwich was great and they subbed spinach with avocado which was actually delicious.

Very sweet little place with great breakfast options. The staff is always so kind & engaging, it’s inside a locally owned bookstore, and the coffee is good; what more could you want? The bookstore the cafe is in, Toadstools, is a favorite haunt of mine when I’m in town. There’s nothing better than picking out a new book, getting a fresh coffee, and enjoying by the river in the warm months.
