As an aviation enthusiast, I saw this place and had to stop in. I found they don’t have very much aircraft memorabilia in there but this Roadhouse type bar is clean and the bartender was friendly. I was going to grab a burger but the kitchen was closed so I can’t review the food. I recommend this place if you’re out for a driving a country on scenic Old Lincoln highway North of the entrance to Hitchcock nature trails in Honey Creek Iowa.

What a friendly place. We’ll have to back when the kitchen opens up. Nice shaded area as well for sitting outside. Thanks for having us.

Was a busy evening when we went so it took a bit to get our food & service but it was clean, nice & staff were running around like crazy so you cannot fault them for a bit of a wait. Food was overall pretty good. Seemed like a nice outside sitting area. Would go back maybe not during a football game unless you wanted to watch a game- the TVs were well placed.

Toasted bun was burned, bacon on the burgers was burnt, burger was way overcooked and dry, wife said her tenderloin was not bad. waitress was very friendly and will probably be the only reason we go back. Atmosphere is very old and out dated needs some freshing up

Used to live in rural Honey Creek in the early 1970’s. It had been around for a while back then too. Looks exactly the same as it did 50+ years ago. After detasseling corn, hoeing beans, or stacking hay, we’d ride our bikes there, hang out, listen to the same awful jukebox music, and buy a coke (this was even before we had fake ID’s, otherwise it would have been beers). My brother and I would go there with a kid who lived down the road on the Old Lincoln HWY. He was shot and killed years later in a motorcycle gang fight in Phoenix.
To say things have changed for the better in my life would be a serious understatement. I’ve seen the world many times over and to think it all started with the Areoplane Inn, wow! Dream big kids…

We were out for a cruise on the motorbikes and got a bit thirsty. We swung into this little bar to wet our whistles. Staff and locals were friendly and the establishment was clean. We didn’t stay for too long but will definitely stop by again when the chance arrives.
