I really didn’t expect much pulling in but as soon as my brother and I entered I knew we were gonna eat good. It smelled amazing, the atmosphere was bustling and the service was amazingly fast and polite. I got the fried shrimp poboy and it was delicious, portions were great and it was fried golden. As soon as I started eating I knew this place was getting a review. Def worth going out of my way for!

Had the hamburger steak smothered in onions and bell pepper with green beans and fries. It was a good sized patty and the onions and gravy were great. The fries were crinkle cut and seasoned well. They were nice and crispy with a soft inside as they should be. Good portion of green beans with bacon and Texas toast to top off the meal. Everything was hot and fresh. Very happy with the entire meal. Will eat here again.

This is a good little restaurant. I think it often gets missed or overlooked. I’d never stopped here until the lady I care for stumbled upon it. Their meals are reasonably priced, the portions are hefty, the staff is nice, and we’ve never gotten sour iced tea (always fresh)! The dining room could use a warmer touch, it reminds me of a hospital. But overall this is a good little place to stop and get some breakfast, lunch, or dinner. We like their fried green tomatoes.

Benito and I love the food. We love the fish and grilled shrimp. They have amazing loaded baked potato with grilled shrimp. Dutch loves the hamburgers and the chicken strips. It’s our Friday night place. Wish they were oped on Sunday. Cause we would be getting carry out.

I thought the staff and owner were friendly. I had the red velvet cake and it was so good! I got my brother the Patty Melt Burger since that is his favorite and on a scale of 1 to 10, he rated it a 3. My brother is special needs as well who is also unapologetically honest when it comes to food…he rates my cooking as well. I would visit again to try some of the other item’s they have. Very chill atmosphere & lovely decor.

I had high expectations after being told the food was wonderful. Ordered the fish and was disappointed with how crunchy it was. The hushpuppies were undercooked. I was very disappointed……..but the staff were very delightful. They get 5 stars!!

Well we had intentions of eating somewhere else today but it was closed. THANK GOODNESS it was because we would have missed out on this little gem!! There was a little small issue with 1 item in our order. What impressed me the most is when the owner was informed he came right over and made it right. He was so nice about it; he went above and beyond! The place was very clean. Our waitress was great. The food was AMAZING!! If you haven’t tried it out you are missing out on one of the best restaurants in small town Carthage!! We WILL be back!

I had the 3 shrimp 3 fried fish plate for lunch. The fish was overcooked to the point it made you thirsty to eat it. I tried dipping it in the tarter sauce provided, but it was old enough to be rubbery and maintain its shape once you took the lid off. I still tried to dip the hardened fish in it, but part of my fish broke off in the sauce. The cold slaw and grilled shrimp tasted good, and the ocra was close to being overdone. I probably won’t go back.
