Every plate was delicious-we got the bao buns, jerk chicken and mackerel special- and don’t skip on the homemade ice cream! The garden cocktail and Malbec rose were lovely! Thank you for a wonderful evening!!
The food and the service was great.
It’s a small and cozy restaurant full of happy well fed people.
The food was phenomenal, not just for the NN, VA, but anywhere. Full of flavor, creativity and freshness. We had the Burrata, Slurpies to start and were blown away by both. This is next level presentation and taste. See pics!
Our entrees were Crab Cake Duo and Mushroom Risotto, also incredible! We even had two single scoops of their delicious house made ice cream with really unique flavors.
We also got our food quite quickly which was impressive considering how amazing and beautifully presented this cuisine is. Great service from our waitress as well I will say.
I am sure the slight inconvenience with temp in the building on a hot day is a one off issue, otherwise this was a perfect experience and I’d urge anyone in the area to make the trip. You won’t be disappointed. A lot of passion and skill are behind these creations and worth the price of admission easily.
The waitress was perfect. Very personable, confident and knowledgeable. She was attentive when needed and left us alone which was great. The atmosphere was romantic and we had a great spot at a window watching the snow just bomb in. Only periodically did we see a snow plow go by or an idiot braving the elements. Wait, did I imply we were lunatics for showing up??
The meal was definitely worth the risk to life and limb. We started off with the calamari. It was so, so, so good. I’m usually indifferent to calamari, but hey – it was Italian night. So with a great bottle of house special wine (it rocked! take the chance) the calamari was buttery and perfectly cooked. On with my seafood kick, I had the seafood pasta dish. Clams, scallops, shrimp. All tasting fantastic with great seasoning and tomatoey acidic bite. The pasta was just perfect with it all. I’m still enjoying the meal writing this.
Because we didn’t know when our next meal would be. We were imagining being trapped in our truck over night. We went with the extreme calorie loading and ordered both the cannoli and a dark chocolate ice cream. They were great and we were DONE.
I really can’t wait to return to another Italian night at Adrift.
